Not offensive, but a bit too subtle for its own good. Bordering on bland. Wouldn’t buy it again.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head. The aroma is dry roast, dark chocolate and a little liqourice. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth creamy liqourice palate. Medium to heavy bodied with soft carbonation. Promised so much, but delivered little.

Theydon_Bois (12058) - Tourist Town (West), Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2013
Bottle split at JF’s, from Beermerchants, 23/08/13. Extremely dark mahogony brown wuth a good sized light tan head. Nose is roast malt, sugars, light cocoa dusting, toffee. Taste comprises dark frutis, toffee, brown sugars, light roast. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation - a little prickly, dry finish. Pretty so so stout, not one I’d bother with again.
