August 20, 2013 - on hand-pull cask at Old Fountain. Clear amber-gold, average off white head. Floral "bitter" aroma, slightly more bitter. Taste is floral and a little tangy, some alcohol. Slick, mild carbonation, a little fruity and floral in the finish. Just okay.

Cask at the Old Fountain, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream. Mild toasty malt nose, some dry orange. Light sweet flavor, some leaves, toasty malts, grapes, berries, dry citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Light dry finish, more toasty malta and toasty leaves, berries. A very classic bitter.

Cask at the Old Black Lion NW6. Bright gold in colour with a decent layer of white foam. I am somewhat cold-ridden so can’t smell anything, but there seemed to be a nice bit of hop there. Taste was excellent, initially slightly malty and a little sweet, but then a good bitter hop finish. The hop flavour is unusual, quite herbal, a bit like a nice version of those Central European bitter drinks like Jagermeister or Unicum. Having just mentioned those two affronts to humanity I must stress that this beer is very pleasant and would be an excellent if unusual session bitter.

(500ml bottle from Lee Off licence, SE London) Pours a nice gold with small/medium white head, medium in body. Good fruity hop aroma, and taste is a pleasant mix of the new single "Northiam" hop and sweet biscuity malt and bitter finish. Nice mouthfeel, really liked this one. Notice it won a CAMRA festival award as well.

Cask (Gravity dispense) at 7th Bexley Beer Festival on 12 April 2012. Golden amber. Thin white head. Good lively condition. Not the most aromatic hops on the nose but come through stronger on the palate. A little sweet but pretty full and tasty.
