Meadbeer. Igazi malata szirup bomba. Melengető egy karacsonyi esten. Mézsör.

(6) Slightly above average. Fun beer for christmas. Opened it and drank it - it is too sweet (don’t get upset now) too sweet for me - maybe you love the sweetness in a mjød beer - and in that case - good for you.

Bottle, many thanks to madmitch76, shared with Simon at Round Tower Brewery, 2nd July 2015. Simon wanted to try this style so fortunately I was able to keep and bring this one. Aroma is pure honey, sugar, barely and bread. Taste is honey, sweet malts, bread dough, rye, blackcurrants and barely. Great bitterness. Really perfect for style. No oxidation. Reminds me of Chimay Rouge meets Thomas O’Hardy and a beer Thornbridge made with Heather Honey.. Really good honey usage. It was extremely clean and not oxidised. I am surprised by the low rates.

Bottle. Dark brown/amber, white small head. In aroma malt, caramel, some raisins and honey. In taste caramel, candi sugar. The beer is sweet with medium to low bitter finish. Medium to full body, meidum carbonation. Sweet, big bodied and unbalanced by low bitterness. Not bad but I expected more.

75 cl. bottle. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavour of honey, spice, malt and caramel.

Shared 750 ml corked and caged bottle at local tasting, from the museum shop at Koldinghus castle. Deep amber colour, white head. Nice aroma of honey, sweet malts and mild spices. Sweet flavour, loads of honey, malts and spices. This is, after all, a beer with mead added - not a mead with beer added.

0,75 l bottle at RBHD-gathering, Tau, Oct-2014. Deep clear copper colored body with a small off-white head. Fusel and honey dominate the nose. Honey dominates the mouth, which is very sweet. Full bodied and smooth. Quite drinkable.
