Hazy Amber orange little rimming beige head; aroma is mild hint of caramel; flava is rich sweet maple syrupy malt with big oily woody hoppy notes; feels medium to thick fizzy foamy; finishes malty sweet balanced with hop bitter and slight hints of licorice;

Very piney, bitter hop flavor. Clear copper colored. Smells of strong ipa. Drinkable but too much hop for me to really enjoy.

16 oz. can to English pint glass. Pours hazy amber orange, quick one finger off white head, little lacing, some retention. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon rind and biscuit. Taste is decently balanced earthy bitter and caramel sweetness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, creamy-resin mouth feel. Finishes mostly bitter with notes of grapefruit, lemon rind, spruce tips, grass and coca. I enjoyed this one. Great IPA!

4/26/14 - Draft sample at Brewpub. Pours golden with orange hues, white head. Semi floral nose, a touch herbal. Mild bitter, lingering, watery, and lacking any balancing sweetness. Just OK

Reviewed from notes. From the can, I poured this into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent gentle orange to amber sort of brown with a decent haziness but still allowing some carbonation to be seen rising at a moderate pace. The head was about a finger’s worth and died within about a minute. The smell was citrusy and piney aromas running in and out of some light caramel malts. The taste was a nice bittersweet flavoring thoroughly combined and staying that way all the way through the brew. There was a resinous bittersweet aftertaste with a quick dry finish. On the palate, it sat about medium in body with a nice typical sharpness that is good for the style and for me. Overall, I say this was a good AIPA that I would have again if I could get it in my distro.

An OK IPA. Aroma was decent. Piney and citrusy. Slightly weak but not bad. Pour was a nice dark gold with a 3 finger off white head that lasted most of the beer. Taste was typical run of the mill IPA which isn’t necessarily bad. A little weak, but mostly citrus hops with a big sweetness in the finish. What hurt this beer was the near flat carbonation. A little bubbles would’ve livened this beer up a little bit.
