3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fairly decent stout. Roasty and semi sweet with a dry nuttiness. A little astringent. Not amazing, but the best offering they had.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle into snifter. Pours a clear dark brown with a minimal light brown head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma is mostly chocolate with a small hint of roastedness. The front of the taste is dark chocolate that lingers on the tongue. Very dry not sweetness. Roasted finish Mouthfeel is a little sharp on the front. Being the only microbrewery in Puerto Rico, they have done a pretty good job on this dry stout.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
In short: A slim roasted coffee stout. Below average example of the style.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Very near black body topped by a persistent small tan head.
In long: Nose is medium roasted (burnt wood) and good amount of coffee. Taste is burnt corn (the blackened part of burnt pop-corn), a sip of black coffee, some caramel, nothing else. Body is rather slender even for a low abv stout. The soda-pop carbonation is a bit too much for the frail body. Very simple beer, at least it is not offensive, this is about as much as one can expect from this shitty brewpub. If I was told I only have one year to live, I’d immediately move to San Juan and go drinking at Old Harbor all the time, every day, my last year seem like an eternity.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Dany that I took to James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin white head. Smells of warm malt and chocolate, sort of smells like a chocolate covered pretzel. Medium bodied, a bit of burnt toast and warm malt. A bit of burnt malt into the finish, roast. Decent stuff.
