Commercial Description: A dry, & creamy stout made with German ale yeast. This stout starts very dry, then exudes a strong coffee flavor in the lingering finish. The name is an Irish term meaning “she who is intoxicating” A Bastard Ale indeed.
On tap at Old Hat. Deep chocolate brown body, medium tan head. Roasty malt aroma with dark chocolate and hints of sugars. Strong roasty body, chocolate, hints of coffee, light sweetness. Fair complexity but pretty standard.
