SDbruboy (1864) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 15, 2008
On draft at brewpub. Cloudy amber color with a thin whitish head that diminished quickly. Toasty and floral, just a bit of toffee, and lemon zest in the aroma, which is mild and fairly non-descript overall. Flavor is nice, brashly hoppy, balanced by the nice toasty and toffee malts, floral and citrus hops dominate with hints of resin noticible as well. Medium body and crisply tingly carbonation. Nice little brewpub IPA.

A bit cold to be fair (at the old market’s new satellite on broadway). a gentle hop aroma with some tannin and rust. farily flat, no head, though active enough in the mouth, aromatically. I get the hops, yes, but there’s a woodiness bordering on plywood.
