A deep dark reddish color with a slight head. This had a very nice balance and the flavors where very good. A tad of extra hops and the rich flavor was great. I liked this beer I can and would drink another.

On tap@the brewery. Slightly hazy, dark reddish brown body with a dense beige head. Nice, mild aroma of sweet malt, caramel and hops. Flavor is refreshing caramel malt, some chocolate and balanced bitter. Rich and hoppy body, a bit more like a hoppy brown ale than red.

Draught. Poured deep red, like a red wine with a lasting beige head. Much lacing. Hoppy aroma with some citrus. Hoppy and peppery flavour, with a fine bitterish finish.

Milder than I would have preferred, but nicely done in the same sense, quite well balanced. Malty, and full of rich fruitiness, perhaps some spearmint, that I am sure has something to do with a hop characteristic that I just cannot put my finger on. Definitely quenches the thirst.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2005
On tap at the Old Market. This brew ended up being the best of the brews on the taster tray. Pours a darker red with a medium off-white head. Lots of fruity hops in the aroma, fairly aromatic. Taste starts with a light fruitiness to the very lightly sweet malts. This brew finishes with a nicely balanced floral/citrus hop finish. Not overly bitter, but a good dose of hops makes this a good refreshing brew.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2004
Good hop aroma. Nice balance between sweetness and hops. Hop aftertaste. Don't know if this fits the style correctly.

unfiltered dark ruby brown, no head, sticky lacing. like a mild version of the hop on with a little more unbalanced bitterness.
