A fine smooth porter to cure the winter doldrums.

A decent porter, albeit slightly lighter than I care for, but nice and richly roasted, creamy and chocolately with some satisfying coffee acidity.

On tap at the Old Market. Ah, yes, now we are getting somewhere, this brew has been the best so far on the taster tray. Pours almost black with a medium light an head. When held up to the light a nice red shines through this brew. Aroma has nice hints of burnt chocolate, light coffee, very mild roast. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery, small amount of sweet chocolat eup fornt with a light coffee finish. A mild porter, but a good brew to go with lunch.

(RBSG04) Tan head atop black body. Aroma is medium sweet, roasty, coffee. Taste is medium sweet, begins grainy before turning chococoffee/roasty, light earthy. Finish is nice roasty coffee, some earthy. Light-medium body.

Great body and mouthfeel. This beer starts to hurt in the taste department. Not a typical robust porter taste, tastes slightly oxidized and a little hoppy.

Dark ruby, black color. very light tan head. The aroma is not very clear, light roast but that's it. the flavor is a little watered down but with a thick full body that coats your mouth.

Deep brown. Sweet chocolate gives way to a roasted bitter coffee which gives way to a smooth milky finish. Sweet milky coffee aroma, some nice biting hops towards the end.
