No head carbination was a bunch that left quickly. Amber looking. Smells bitter and like an ipa. some of the taste and smell reminds me of mad tom ipa from muskoka if I recall right. Up frunt is piny and forest like, backround is grapfruit like and there is bitter in there at some point. Filling. Good for trying out. I have no problem trying out brewerys e.s.b’s but not a style I wanna drink alot of or offten. cheer’s.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma of basically nothing. Appearance was a flat bright clear orange amber. My wife wandered into the room asking if I was drinking Kool-Aid... I wish I was. A very simple beer. Too simple. Sweet and appley with a bit of caramel. Wishy washy finish. Very thin mouthfeel with minimum carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

Bomber. Mahogany amber with a off-white head. Musty and slightly bitter, some citrus, stale caramel, bread, vegetables. Nice carbonation, smooth, off-putting sweetness with a dry bitterness, carries through to the finish which is very dry, a bit of skunk and some vegetables. All of that being said its not as terrible as some of their other stuff p not exactly a ringing endorsement but take it for what its worth.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle labeled Elora Special Bitter. Bottle LCBO OCB Winter Sampler Pack. Pours reddish amber with thin white head. Aroma sweet slightly roasted malt. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Taste somewhat bitter and acidic. Drinkable but the search for a satisfying Ontario-brewed English bitter beer continues.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Medium amber appearance. Aromas of sawdust, cherry lollipop, and red lettuce. A very well balanced profile, with an initial sweet burst quickly dulled by a woody-bitter middle and finale. A very good brew and one of the few Trafalgar selections I would actually try again.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
355ml bottle. Nice appearance, pours orange with thick creamy head and lots of lacing. Aroma is hops and caramel. Taste is quite bitter, not as nicely balanced as I would have liked. Decent beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This company loves to confuse people. One day it’s Trafalgar, one day it’s back to Old Mill (and both names are on the label). This one I am rating is 5% ABV, but is the new designed label. It says now... "Elora Special Bitter". The other one I reviewed a few weeks back (from my cellar), is 4.7% ABV and said "Elora ESB". So, I probably reversed both brew review (but I put them in the right ABV ones). I hope it make sense to you. This new version pours a clear golden-amber colour with hardly no head. Mild lacing is still formed and little coat tops the brew. Hardly any carbonation as well. The nose is fruity with some caramel and bready malt. A little sticky, but quite refreshing. Great tasting with lots of flavours. Caramel, fruits, bread, piney hops (but not too much) and toffee in the aftertaste. And all of that and quite fresh. A great ESB !

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Hazy orange-yellow with a touch of amber. Dense off-white cask-like head. Aromas: Floral, bread and grain with sweetness on the end of the nose. Nice medium-light mouthfeel, light chewy body, nice caramel touch - nice ESB, however the bitterness, though well done seems to finish almost burnt, meaning a lesser satisfaction on the finish. Otherwise, very sessionable and tasty.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
5.0% ABV (as written on the bottle)
I tried this beer on December 9, 2010 after purchasing the 2010 Holiday Discovery Pack from one of my local LCBO outlets.. The beer poured a tranluscent red colour with a thin white head. The aroma was caramel malt, citrusy hops, and some funk. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was skunky malt, acidic sour notes notes, and weak bitter hops.
