1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bomber from LCBO shared with Lubiere (thanks…I think), served cold in a goblet. JL16/07
App.: Hazy golden-amber, tiny off-white head.
Aroma: Heavy dose of fermented, oxidized apple juice, lots of organic acids, slightly medicinal/band-aid. Terrible.
Palate: Medium body, medium effervescent carbonation.
Flav.: Some malt (trying to be nice here...), slightly metallic, definite band-aid/medicinal defect, more organic acids, slightly fruity.
Honestly, how the hell is Trafalgar still in business?? Their beers are like a bad car accident to me: I know I shouldn’t check them out, but I can’t help myself. If the brewer read this, do yourself a favour. Nuke your equipment, chuck your yeast and start over with someone who knows how to brew beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden color, no head to speak of. Caramel malty presence, with a bit of cereal, and cheese. For a light beer, it has a decent body. Not bad at all, surprised to see it’s brewed by Trafalgar. I’d actually buy it again.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bomber from LCBO. A hazy golden lager with grainy grassy aroma. In mouth, a run of the mill product with signs of lactic acids, infection. No hops here. Not too good. Tulip festival edition.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
65 cl bottle, Shelburne. Deep golden colour, fizzy head that immediately disappears. Sweet added malt aroma. Grassy taste, slight fizziness. Reminds of a homebrewed beer.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cloudy yellow pour is capped with a fizzy white head that doesn’t last. Bready caramel aroma, with some fruit and grains. Buttery grainy flavours with sweet watered down caramel water. Eeriely similar to Harbour Gold. This beer died in front of me. By the time I was finished, there was zero carbonation left in it. Infected. 4% ABV.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sweet, creamed corn aroma wit a metallic edge and some grassy hops. Clear, golden, still body with low, fizzy, white head that recedes to ring. Sweet, cereal malts and grassy hops with light bitterness. Creamed corn sweetness lasts in the after-taste. Light, watery body with very strong, sharp large bubbled carbonation that does not last at all. Tumbler. Fridge temperature. Bottle (BB Nov-05, LCBO, Oct-05).

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Golden yellow pour huge fluffy head, well presented beer. Aroma was sort of sweet - honey notes, but also metallic and also something else - my beer education over the pass couple of years leads me to the word diacetyl and that about covers it. Taste was very straw like with more sour qualities. Bottle was stamped May 05. Not enjoyable - I bought 3 of their beers at the lcbo at Dufferin and Wilson and all of them seemed very off.
