Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jan 12, 2001 Mainstream in style, but with a little added hop. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Mar 19, 2005 650 ml bottle. Pale golden, hazy appearance, thin white head fading to a slick of faint bubbles. Light fruity aroma, same diacetyl that all of their beers seem to have. Grainy malt and faint toffee. Flavour is full of diacetyl. Pale malt, some fruity yeastiness, and a sweet finish. Not a very good brew. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 3, 2007 Bomber from LCBO. A hazy golden lager with grainy grassy aroma. In mouth, a run of the mill product with signs of lactic acids, infection. No hops here. Not too good. Tulip festival edition. tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 13, 2005 Sweet, creamed corn aroma wit a metallic edge and some grassy hops. Clear, golden, still body with low, fizzy, white head that recedes to ring. Sweet, cereal malts and grassy hops with light bitterness. Creamed corn sweetness lasts in the after-taste. Light, watery body with very strong, sharp large bubbled carbonation that does not last at all. Tumbler. Fridge temperature. Bottle (BB Nov-05, LCBO, Oct-05). Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 16, 2004 watery. Little hop, some malt, no color, sickly aroma. And this was fresh. Touch of lemon mid-sip, like lemon in a water glass. Some bitterness, not awful, Radek Kliber (3926), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jan 22, 2005 Pale gold lager with noticeable sweet gold malts. Initial decent hint of hops followed by soft malt . Well made but this faded fast leaving simple , thing lager feel . Well made, no technical errors found, simple, slightly thin and dry end. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 19, 2003 Updated: Jul 29, 2007July 2007. Golden yellow body with a small fading white head. Sweet fruity aroma hints at mango, and over ripe lychee fruits, light hint of something that may or may not be diacetyl. Sweet fruity flavour with a sharp bitter note to the finish. The overall effect is a bit wonky but not necessarily unpleasant. Average palate. Outshines recent samplings of its brethren simply by avoiding infection. 6/3/6/3/12 - 3.0
<P>October 2003. Crisp golden yellow colour. Flowery fruity aroma with much of the same in the flavour. Sort of an odd aftertaste. 7/3/5/3/11 - 2.9 CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jun 27, 2003 (650ml bottle) Lively, tiny particles; thin, white head gives way to light golden body. Mild malt nose with some yeast. Fruity-malt flavour. Much less watery than the other Trafalgar products. Average but enjoyable.
