caledonian (367), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2007 Golden color, no head to speak of. Caramel malty presence, with a bit of cereal, and cheese. For a light beer, it has a decent body. Not bad at all, surprised to see it’s brewed by Trafalgar. I’d actually buy it again. Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico May 21, 2009 Nice but a little bitter if accompaning it with some olives. It has the sandy taste of the Canadian beers and nice aroma. cfrancis (293), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada Jun 7, 2009 Cloudy straw with some sediments. Aroma is citrus and yeast. Taste is a little bitter with citrus hints. Not bad but many do it better. Reminded me of a cheap man’s Heritage Premium Lager. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 19, 2003 Updated: Jul 29, 2007July 2007. Golden yellow body with a small fading white head. Sweet fruity aroma hints at mango, and over ripe lychee fruits, light hint of something that may or may not be diacetyl. Sweet fruity flavour with a sharp bitter note to the finish. The overall effect is a bit wonky but not necessarily unpleasant. Average palate. Outshines recent samplings of its brethren simply by avoiding infection. 6/3/6/3/12 - 3.0
<P>October 2003. Crisp golden yellow colour. Flowery fruity aroma with much of the same in the flavour. Sort of an odd aftertaste. 7/3/5/3/11 - 2.9 sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 22, 2007 650mL bottle. Pours a nice cloudy light straw with quite a bit of head. Aroma is tart. The initial taste is rather tart - almost metallic in nature. In the end, it settles down to being quite lemony. The taste stays relatively sour throughout. The aftertaste is not particularly pleasing. This isn’t really my cup of tea, errrrrrr, beer, but at least it wasn’t the bland lager I was fearing it might be.
yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Nov 2, 2007 Purchased at Trafalgar Brewery. 650ml Bottle, 4% a/v
Pours a warm gold colour with light white head. Nose is malt and floral grass. The taste is strange, malty, fruity and has a strange aftertaste.. almost like hops and gummi bears.. Weird. But not bad. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 30, 2007 [440-20070726] Sample @ LCBO-Summerhill. Toasted bread and grain aroma with some mango or apricot fruit notes. Clear, yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Medium body. Refreshing, as it seems fresh. Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Feb 23, 2003 Normal but there is quite a bit of hop in the flavour and the nose. Very flowery. Clean bright golden yellow. With a quick to vanish head. Decent though.
