Commercial Description:
Irish ales are dark and rich in colour but are smooth and developed as an every day beer. A complex blend of imported hops and roasted barley give this ale a light aroma and bittersweet finish

Pours dark clear amber. Mild aroma of cereal and liquorice. Flavour is sweet - caramel hops, a litte liquorice and mint. Very mild. Watery. Smooth and drinkable, but slightly disagreeable.

650ml bottle, 5% a/v Pours an almost cola brown with some decent carbonation and a thin tan head. Nose is malty, as well as roasted nuts and caramel. Taste is roasted nuts, dark malts, and chocolate, with a decent mouthfeel and a nice dark finish. Not sure why this beer is rated so low, I really liked it.

A deep dark reddish ale with a thin off white head. Aroma of chick pea puree, caramel and butter. In mouth, a ratbuher sourish malt with buttery notes, burned toast and oily mouthfeel. Boring. From LCBO Kingston, Oct. 2007. BB Jan 2008.

Pleasantly surprised. Didn’t expect much at all. Looks like flat coca cola. This sucker has no head what so ever. The appearance and lack of inticing aroma aside, the flavours are pretty good. Starts out with some malty sweetness, a touch of caramel, a little roasted maltiness, a little hops in the finish, but not quite enough to balance this beer out. The problem with this beer is that it’s just to damn watery, it hinders the flavour. Still, not a bad effort from a relitivley new brewery.

Way Way Way too carbonated with a tight acidy flavor that overwhelms the beer so you can taste nothing else :(

Dark brownish pour. Negligible head. Forgot to try this in a clear glass, so Appearance is hard to judge. Dark is right, so up a few points, definately filtered, so down a few, nearly no head, so down a few more. Sorry if I rate this harshly but Tupperware is a harsh mistress to the summer rate. Dark roasted malts, caramel and tofffe in the sent. Regretfully more water in the taste then anything else. Lots of nuts there, some malts, a hint of that caramel from the scent but not much else. A very strong aftertaste, that lingers. Here’s where all the flavour comes out, in the aftertaste. There’s coffee, malts, smoked herbs, a bit of sour citrus, and lots of almost wonderfult things. Almost wonderful because the belong in the flavour and taste and not the aftertaste. Instead you are left with an overpowering confusing cacophany at the end, that ruins a rather pleasant taste that could have been something more.

Nice brewed, a little smoked, and ash black coloured, but it has that hoppy flavour that is quite strong in Canadians.

cloudy copper with beige head, it has caramel aroma with hint of citurs and chocolate. (interesting) the flavor is bready and caramel, full bodied.
