Commercial Description:
Irish ales are dark and rich in colour but are smooth and developed as an every day beer. A complex blend of imported hops and roasted barley give this ale a light aroma and bittersweet finish

Bottle. Hard to distinquish this from the Paddy’s Red. This was looked a little darker, it had a nice white head as well, but that faded very quickly. There was some sweetness to the aroma but also the feared sourness that had plagued by earlier 2 bottles from these guys (purchased at the same time from the same lcbo - Wilson and Dufferin). Taste was undrinkable - you could tell there might be a decent irish ale in there, but man, why was it this sour and bad? April 05 date stamp. This will turn me off for quite some time from these guys.

bottle. citrus aroma with biscuit malts. copper in appearance with a small white head. creamy mouthfeel. piney and chewy hops. This beer seemed really off, I’ve never had anything like it. It almost tasted like buckley’s.

650 ml bottle. Cloudy dark amber beer with a very thin off-white lace. Low carbonation. Fruity aroma underneath a load of diacetyl. Flavour is okay, banana and berries, but it’s tough to get past all of the buttery character. Slightly sweet finish. I’m not sure if these were stored improperly or what.

650 ML bomber. A hard pour revealed a clear copper-brown beer with virtually no head and weak carbonation. Aromas of musty fruit sweetness and graininess slight sour tones. Fair start with some burnt toffee sweetness, some roasty malts finishes abruptly with the fuggles hops coming through and a slight smokey woody bready taste. Mild sweetish and musty... The lack of carbonation gives the impression of a watery mouth feel..that’s too bad because this brew has potential but just doesn’t deliver.....nice taste, very drinkable but too overly mild and understated to reveal the craft in its recipe...a nice ale not a great one, I like this ale but I don’t know why.

sugary aroma. Watery mouthfeel which is DNA of this brewery. Looks and smells and even tastes like cola. Passable

Initial smell from the bottle is very vegetable -- peppers and peas. As the beer airs, it becomes a brown sugar and mild veggie aroma. A pickled pepper flavor with oat graininess. Flat, and a bit watery. Bleh.

Light whiskey colored appearance with no head. Aroma of peppers - kind of reminds me of Cave Creek Chili Beer - slightly peppery - not typical of the Irish Ale style. Flavor - vegetable in nature, not altogether pleasant or beery. Thin mouthfeel, pretty watery. Not recommended.

Reddy orange, clear with an off white head. Fruity aroma with vanilla accents. Smell like a weak cola. Unbalanced very minimal hops. Sweet watery caramel and cookies. Almost cloying. The body stills very quickly. The finish is quite sweet with some burnt bitters.
