2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Originally reviewed: 8/18/09. Had a few cans of this at a buddy’s house. Poured into a mug. Pours a pale yellow with a big bubbly white head on top. No retention, and little sticky lace globs on the glass. Smells of cheap grains and sweet malts.
The mouth is thin and wet. No carbonation bite at all. Flavor is muted grains, light bread, and finishes slightly buttery and sweet. This is a decent cookout brew, but that’s about it. Honestly, if you must, there are better macros than this out there.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
After my glowing review of PBR, you’d think I’m kissing cheap beer butt. But no, I raved about PBR because of its quality for being a cheap American brew. Old Milwaukee, however...well, I suppose its okay if you like a hint of grain in your seltzer water. Yes, I’ll drink it when my budget is low, but like my highly non-picky drinking buddy said one night "Hey Steve, did you get this water from the Croydon fire house?"

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home on the terrace.
[ As Pabst Blue Ribbon Export ].
Clear medium to dark yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, corn, pale malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, fruity, malty, sweet malt, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. IMO a bit borring but okay ...

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Very Light Pale Yellow, Big Head, Dissipates Quickly, Some Spotty Lacing. Peppery Aroma. Little Taste. Whatever Taste there is, it is of Corn, Light Malt. Slightly Sweet, Light Hint Of Bitter. Watery, Bland. Beats drinking water or pop. American classic, although I’ve lived in Milwaukee and never tried it before. Since not much going in the can, they try to mix it up on the outside of can. This one came in camouflage and orange colors. I guess you could use it as a calendar reminding you that it is a hunting season. However, It is a safe bet, that You are a Redneck if you use beer can designs to tell seasons... Pass it...

Bottle. 4.5% Pabst Blue Ribbon. Pale yellow colour with a white head. Not much flavor here. Watery mouthfeel. It?s drinkable, but I just don?t see the point.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
A steady pour into my teku glass produces a 1/2-finger thick, almost perfectly white colored head that leaves little lacing on the sides of the glass. The beer is a dull yellow color that shows a brilliantly clear, yellow gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells grainy, vanilla, lightly boring like notes, and it has a corn candy like character to it as well.
Fairly dry tasting, with lots of water and grain notes that permeate the palate and a touch of firm, bubbly character in the finish. Bubbly notes provide drinkability, chuggability, and low boost. The body is really quite light, and the carbonation provides a nice, balancing texture to keep this lively on the tongue.
This is half bad, definitely a notch above the Milwaukee’s Best Light that I just had. This is fairly dry, with no yeast derived spiciness and character; it could dial back the cornjust a bit and could have a more interesting pale grain character, but it is better than I was expecting and is enjoyable enough.
