3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of corn, cereal and hops. Poured a pale yellow with a nice large white foamy head that left nice lacing. Head quickly reduced into a think cap. Flavor of corn, touch of malt, cereal and hops. Medium of body, thin texture, lively carbonation with a long slightly bitter finish. Served at 40 degrees in a stein. Not a bad lager, if you like lagers. Slightly better than average for a macro.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
DATE: August 21, 2016... OCCASION: saying goodbye to the Olympics, I celebrate 120 medals with an American original... GLASSWARE: Browns pilsner.... crystal clear, tawny yellow body--as light as could be while still considered gold--with large, sparse bubbles jetting upward... white head is filmy, hazy, and clinging unevenly to the glass... fresh bread malts combine with corn to make for a beefy, tangy inhalation... some off-center funk is prevalent... flows as swiftly as water, with only a slight brackishness... refreshing, but flirts with apology as it exits swiftly with a light body.... taste is as expected--corn, honey, malted barley, and water, with water as the predominant factor... a mouth rinser, but having read the the excellent Ambitious Brew, this former Schlitz product is a solid American creation that gave the People what they wanted--a beer that could be slammed at serious rates without residual.... good for what it’s meant to do...

Originally rated on 9/19/08. Old mil. isnt the worst thing out there but it sure aint the best. Its greatest redeeming quality is price, easy on the old wallet. Bad aroma, so-so flavor middle of the pack swill.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20

Backlog. Meh another one of these old school pale lagers. Just nothing going on here. Refreshing I guess....

Memory rating....drank many times in my youth....we used to use the returnable bottle cases as furniture in college...sad poor times back then...not a terrible beer just a cheaply made beer...lots of grain and malt....

Actually much better than its more well-known cousin, PBR. The corn flavor is less metallic and solvent-like than most of its ilk. Surprisingly pleasant shit-beer alternative.

One of my favorite beers. It does the job well. Great tasting, inexpensive and just overall, impressive. I love how the Canadian cans have the cute girls on them as well.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle at The Bowler in Fargo. Because this is what you do here. Piss yellow color (I’m assuming) and a grainy, slightly metallic aroma. Taste is also grainy and minimal. Basically water with some malty alcohol elements. Not a beer for beer fans but a beer for people who want to drink excessively while playing pool. Finish non-existent. Something your dad would enjoy.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
35,5cl bottle@home in lager glass@approx 5 degrees C. Thought I was drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon but was in effect drinking a re-branded Old Milwaukee which is marketed in Scandinavia! Humbug and I urge you to buy neither when the brewers cheat like that. Pours clear light yellow with finger of white head with sufficient retention. Very faint aroma of malt and corn. This is also reflected in the almost nonexistent taste. Very faint malt and hops and no off tastes makes this close to drinking water with alcohol. Refreshing on a hot day I can imagine, but what is the point of drinking virtually tasteless beer like this?
