1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
1 Pt. 6 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours clear gold with a huge white head that goes away quickly and leaves a decent lacing trace. Aroma of grain and yeast. Taste pretty much the same lots of grain and corn taste, alcohol is present there too. Not too good, not a fan.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a straw from a bottle, quickly dissipating head with little lacing. Very surprised by this one. Not much aroma, a little sweet rice flavor, round mouthfeel, one of the better pale lagers I've had.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours clear yellow with big fluffy head that dissipates quickly but leaves a bit of attractive lacing and skim.
Odd aroma, vegetal yet sweetish with whiff of alcohol. In the glass, grassy hops press against mediciney malts, with a suggestion of dried fruits, or half-processed fruits, bacon and smoke. Not so much smoked bacon, as two distinct notes, one of smoke and one a meaty slickness.
Aside from the occasional metallic note, none of these flavors are terrible in themselves. It is just hard to figure what they are all attempting to do together in this beer.
Letís face, there are many far worse West Coast IPAs, but the market for this should be those looking for an inexpensive, relatively alcoholic beverage at the end of the night.

What a crock! Iím fond of North Coast Brother Thelonious and the top-rated ales brewed by monks in Europe, so I was a sucker for this label for an 8% ABV brew from India. Iíve never had a beer from India that Iíve truly enjoyed, and this one is no exception, other than being exceptionally bad. From the first whiff, I knew that this would be one of the worst Iíve tried. I havenít finished it yet, and it might be my 2nd drain pour out of 1,000 Iíve tried. I like music and movies that are so bad theyíre good (Florence Foster Jenkins and Ed Wood come to mind). Still, I implore fellow RateBeerians to avoid this one. I doubt it will become a cult classic. Itís just nasty.
22 oz bottle pours a clear golden yellow with small soapy white head and no lacing. Aroma conjures up my worst nightmares of a toxic third world dumping grounds for obsolete technology: burnt plastic, soggy boxes, a prairie fire and hydrochloric acid.
OK, to be fair, the aroma has some honest dark fruits, corn, and grass. Taste is sweet like corn syrup with a bit of bitterness in the finish, which is surprisingly bereft of alcolhol burn. . Body is medium with an oily mouthfeel.. It actually gets better as it wams up. It wasnít a drain pour, and the headache hasnít set in yet.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Jamesí for the multi-K tasting. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Super grainy, sweet grain with a bit of sugared grain. Medium bodied, grain and a bit of sweetness. Grain, sweet and boring into the finish. Meh.

Clear gold. Strong. I echo the corn syrup comments. Tastes like underfermented syrup.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
It pours golden and clear. It builds a big head, but it disappears pretty quickly, There is an aroma of grasses and burnt rubber. It does have some lacing. It has a sweet, grassy taste then has a sickly cherry candy flavor on the way down. This is one of the worse beers that Iíve ever had.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Persis Indian Restaurant - 650 ml bottle. Medium golden pours, rocky snow white head, nice bubble action. Aroma is slightly boozy with some wet paper bag accents. Flavor has some patented Indian lager band aid notes. some grainy notes, a touch of dates and an awkward spoiled fruit essence to it. Thinnish moutthfeel. About what I expected, not awful or a drain pour. .

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: JUN 17, 2014 Iíll tell you what boys, nothiní but nothiní beats finding a retired Indian malt liquor just sitting on a shelf like itís not even a thing. Oddly, this isnít even completely terrible. I mean, itís terrible but it at least does not taste like it is doing my body real and immediate harm. It is clear yellow in the glass and mostly headless. There is actually a kind of nice grassy hop thing going on in the nose underpinned by only the faintest hint of that fruity weirdness that is so common in cheap high-alcohol beers. This strange sweet-tart fruitiness really comes out when you taste it though, reminding me somewhat of low quality Eastern European plum wine with its oily fusel alcohol texture. As it warms it takes on an oxidized character that seems like some sort of mix of stale chocolate and cardboard. This stuff starts out almost like real beer but winds up pushing you into a pit of base depravity and unbridled sadness. The bottle looks almost like a 50 cL bottle you might get some kind of respectable hefeweizen in but is actually a full 22 oz. The second glass lures you in like strong Absinth and in drinking it, you stare briefly into your own soul. It is dry enough to be somewhat drinkable which is actually not a good thing as drinking this reminds you of the terrible person youíve become and all the people youíve disappointed on your short time on this planet. Cheers!

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle shared at the 5k/7k/11k. Aroma of corn, apple peel, and bread crust. Pours white and bubbly. Taste is corn syrup, malt, apple peel, and bread. Sweet and light. I could see drinking this at the end of a night.
