3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the winery. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus hops, herbal notes and something faintly soapy. The taste is citrus and resin hops with a faint malt finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the winery/bistro. Pours a light gold with virtually no head. This looks like it’s going to be pretty light. The aroma is semi sour with blunt barley notes and some fruity sweetness. Basically no hops to speak of in the nose. I was afraid to take a sip after the inital sniff, but was pleasantly surprised and confused. There is obvious wine flavor with very light clean grains and again no hops. My guess is some of the brewing and/or serving equipment also comes in contact with wine and though probably inadvertant, creates an interesting and drinkable final product. They bill this as a pale ale, but is really more like a golden ale.
