Bottle, shared with Grippitis and Parksy. Very hazy deep golden amber with a medium off white head. Sweet malty aroma, some milk chocolate notes, but mostly English toffee. Sweet chewy malty palate, bread crusts and sponge toffee, some milk chocolate. Finish is a bit hot, even after 2 years in the cellar. Quite nice.

22 oz bottle. Foggy brown with a lacy off-white head. Rouses with a swirl. Nose is cherry caramel, orange peel and grass. Slick medium body; resiny with soft carb pricks. Taste is lime honey, orange peel and grapefruit pith. I like the progression from sweet to bitter citrus but not what i look for in a barleywine. Good for a hoppy one.

Bottle shared by sloth: Flat brown in color, small head. Funky aroma of medicine and some sweet malts... Taste pretty much the same..... Funky medicinal taste, sweet candy malt... ugh.... Alcohol noticable. Hot....Medium body, kind of sticky. Overall: Drinkable but not very good. Maybe this was just a bad bottle? Thanks bert for sharing!
