22 oz bottle. Foggy brown with a lacy off-white head. Rouses with a swirl. Nose is cherry caramel, orange peel and grass. Slick medium body; resiny with soft carb pricks. Taste is lime honey, orange peel and grapefruit pith. I like the progression from sweet to bitter citrus but not what i look for in a barleywine. Good for a hoppy one.

Bottle shared by sloth: Flat brown in color, small head. Funky aroma of medicine and some sweet malts... Taste pretty much the same..... Funky medicinal taste, sweet candy malt... ugh.... Alcohol noticable. Hot....Medium body, kind of sticky. Overall: Drinkable but not very good. Maybe this was just a bad bottle? Thanks bert for sharing!

Thin tan head thats short lived. little lace. Clear, amber brown color. nose of lightly sweet malts, lil bread, lil boozy, lil funk and not the good kind either, somewhat medicinal. Body is med/full, lightly oily, lightly astringent, lil chewy. Lightly sweet malts, caramel, grain and some phenols. alcohol is slightly biting and some dark fruits in the midst. Slightly funky finish seems dry and malty. Astringent. As a great man once said " somethin aint right. Dont know what it is,,,, but somethin aint right" Bomber from statelineliquors.

650ml bottle from Bottlworks in Seattle. Pours a lovely reddish brown with creamy tan head that eventually vanished. Aroma is butterscotch, figs, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla. Slightly boozy on the nose but it’s very young. Taste is chewy with fruitcake notes, more toffee and butterscotch, layered caramel malt that is not too sweet. Am I crazy, is there a banana note in there as well? Finish is hot with alcohol but not too overpowering, just lacking in the restraint some aging would offer. Nice bitterness as it fades. Really solid for style and certainly one that shows great potential for cellaring.
