COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blaze’s own hoppy version of a strong amber-complex yet balanced. This amber has a moderate to strong bitterness and strong smooth hop aroma.

5000 (6300) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle:   Deep amber, reddish hued, slight copper, moderate to large frothy off-white head, spotty lacing, very light carbonation.   Soft barnish malts on the nose.   Little bit of pine and biscuit as well, but very minor.   Pale biscuity malts on the tongue.   Slight hop, a little barnish, minor dryness.   This one would benefit from being a bit sweeter.   Decent body and mouthfeel.   With the linger hop bitterness towards the end this one almost seems more like a Pale Ale.   I already know that their pale is way too abrasive.   This one is certainly a hoppy Amber Ale.   Maybe a little less hop and more malt sweetness and then you’d have something.   Decent, but could be smoothed out a bit... like many of their other beers.

Small tan head, fair retention with a bit of stringy lace. Murky amber/orange appearence. Nose of worty sweet malts, not much else. Body is medium, something of an astringency. Sweet malts, grainy. Dont want to drink any more. Sweet finish, worty, grainy, under attenuated mess. Bleh. done.

I was surprised at the low ratings. This beer had a fabulous malt quality with more hops than was to be expected. t blended perfectly in both aroma and flavor. Id buy this again.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours a dark ruddy amber with a 1.5 finger foamy beige head. Smells like an APA. Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is heavily roasted caramel with some heavy lifting hop. It’s like a cross between amber and APA. Think the hop tends towards grapefruit. In the event this is not one of those malty vienna like ambers. Woot!

22oz bottle. Small beige head atop clear copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, orange/grapefruit, light bread. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/orange, caramel, light bread, lime. Light-medium body.

22. Pours a nearly opaque dark amber with a loose, sloppy fish-eye head that fades quickly to scattered bubbles. Big roasty buttery nose. Watery flat body. Toast, caramel, butter, and butter on the mid palate. Harsh earthy hop resin comes out of nowhere at the finish. I am sure this can’t quite be what they intended to brew. Needs help pretty much everywhere.

pours a semi-cloudy brown with a very thin white head, and some lacing. smell is faint, caramel, and malt. taste is thick, caramel, malts, and hops, ends a little bitter but more of an english bitter than an amber ale.

Deep but clear reddish copper in hue. Minimal white head leaves spotty lacing on the glass. Nose is full of biscuity caramel malts, nice dank hops, and a sweet strawberry fruit note. Flavor is caramel apples and ’salty pretzel’ malts; all accompanied by a strong hop presence in the nicely balanced finish. The low carbonation results in a slick, but only lightly viscous mouthfeel. I am loving this little brewery, and highly look forward to future offerings.

I was not prepared for this drink- figured it was just a lightweight amber to round out their lineup with a mass appeal malty drink. Not so fast my friend. Strong caramel malt backbone builds the foundation of a great drink with a big grapefruit hop citrus character that exhibits a floral and grassy presence with a piney finish. Beautiful deep orange hued amber body with a light tan head.
