COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium-bodied pale ale with moderate bitterness and modest citrusy hop aroma. This is a good beer to start with when building up the courage for the stronger beers. Epiphany pale may even support some seekers on their path to enlightenment.

Slightly sweet and citrus aroma: Mostly grapefruit. Very light and clear colour. Small head that subsides to a ring quickly. Taste is light malt with hops flavour. Very refreshing and light. Lots of citrus.

Straw hued body with thin, whispy white head. Lightly sweet grainy malt character with a touch of caramel and cracker. A bit watery and weak.

Bottle:   Deep amber, hazy, large foamy off-white head, very nice lacing.   Resiny nose, a litle pungent, some earth.   Big resiny flavors, citrus rind, dirt.   This one is also a little abrasive, much like the IPA.   Smidgen of Butterscotch on the backside.   This one too needs a bit of malt sweetness.   I am getting used to it the more I drink it, but it is still rough.   Seems unfinished.   Body and mouthfeel are decent.   Not a bad beer, but just like their IPA, too brash.   Needs a little sweetness and less caustic resins.

Nice creamy medium sized white head with good retention and a coating lace. Lightly hazy gold hued ale. Nose is lightly bready, lightly fruity. Body is light with a soft carbonation, slight metallic notes. Mild flavors of malt, fairly dry, faint hops, citrus and some vegetal matter, little mineraly. Dry finish, grainy. Meh.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours a clear ruddy copper with a single finger foamy off-white head. Aroma of mildly roasted caramel. Maybe grapefruit aroma. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Very fresh hop. Still going grapefruit rind on this. Malt is there but a bit supressed. Finish is bitter. Dang good ale.

22oz bottle. Medium off-white head atop clear light amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, bread, light apricot. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some bread, light apricot, honey. Light-medium body, light chalk, resin, fairly easy drinking. Solid APA.

20100405 Bomber from Honeygo. Light amber with small, lingering off-white head of even foam. Aroma is malt dominated with some cereal notes, butter, light citrus floral hops are there but slight, mild green apple. Body is light with fine eff, finishes a bit thin and ends up more woody-astringent than hoppy-bitter. Flavor similar to aroma but adds a bit of shortbread and then celery, especially in the aftertaste. Had high hopes after the IPA, but this was a bummer, especially at seven bucks for a bomber of plain old PNW pale ale.

Pours clear golden amber and sports a rocky, off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is lightly toasted malts with a raw hazelnut tinge. Flavor is malty buttered-biscuit , nicely toasted, with a ’wholesome’ quality that I find very endearing. Clean hops, just enough to balance the body, make for a pleasantly bitter finish. A solid pale, true to style, that does not go overboard in any way. In a world of extreme pales (aka "ipa’s passed off as pales", that are just barely within the category threshold) this is a refreshing ’fundamental’ approach that I find truly enjoyable. Good job!
