22oz. Bottle: Aroma of chocolate and oats. Poured pitch black in color with a small, creamy, dense, rocky, brown head that mostly diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Opaque. Not sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, chocolate, coffee, oats, light hops, and a hint of cream. Medium body. Thin, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Chocolate, malt, coffee, and oat finish is lightly dry. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

22 oz bottle. Pours a black body with a small frothy brown head that left some lacing and receded to a thin covering. The aroma is just delicious. Rich chocolate and roast with a nice oat character and a bit of earthiness. The flavor is nicely roasty, slightly sweet, with a smooth oat character that really mellows out the overall flavor profile. A bit of burnt malt and coffee rounds out the finish that lingers on for a good while. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and almost creamy in texture with perfect soft and gentle carbonation. Overall a very nice Oatmeal Stout with a good deal more depth of flavor than your average Sweet Stout.

Coffee, roast, dark bitter chocolate, oily hops in the nose. Light sweetness as well. Pours black, oily with a soft tan head. The flavor starts off with a blast of roast and coffee, moves to dark bittersweet chocolate with light sweetness throughout, then moves to an oily hop bitterness in the back end. Dry and bitter with nice underlying sweetness. Creamy and almost oily body. Really a very enjoyable sweet stout.

Bomber. Poured a rich, deeper brown with a short-lived tan head. The aroma picked up sweet and buttery chocolates, vanilla, and molasses with a touch of cola on the edges.. cake-like and enticing. The flavor found more molasses and some black patent maltage at the core.. sweet milky chocolates and rolled oats on the edges.. finished sweet, but with a fine complement of roast and alcohol warmth. Medium-bodied with lower carbonation on the palate.. balance was solid, but it could’ve used more bubbles.. I’d gladly drink more.

Wash. DC tasting. woot, some tasty treat here. dark brown color, perfect tan head. aroma, ark malts, some light elements adding for a nice milky-like nose, fruity with some sweet notes. flavors, deep malty flavors, coffee and espresso flavors with moderate touch of milk-chocolate, cocoa nibs. A lot going on here, palate is smooth and creamy with a nice lingering coffee/espresso finish. Some faint bitter hops peek through here and there, but overall this is one delicious sweet stout.

Bottle: The aroma is a really nice combination of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla cream, and faint coffee. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small beige head. The flavor starts with chocolate and roasted malt. The chocolate intensifies in the finish along with vanilla cream and a hint of coffee. Medium bodied with mild carbonation and somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Very tasty.
