Really nice, clean, crisp Imperial IPA. Pine and resin flavors overwhelm with citrus flavors kicking and fighting. Impressive Imperial IPA.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange with a thin white head. Aroma of pine, citrus and caramel. Flavor of citrusy & piney hops, caramel and grapefruit with a dry and bitter finish.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2014 Bottle (22oz): Slightly coudy golden color. Thin head. Smells like citris and hops. Tastes the same, but a little chalky. Moderatly bitter. Not my favorite IPA but OK. (h)

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham
Cloudy amber color with small head. Fruity caramel aroma, hoppy but a bit old, light sweat. Bold, full bodied, with moderately sweet malt and caramel flavor; strong bitterness, still some hop resins and fruitiness.
I would really like to try it fresh.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity, citrusy and mild overripe fruity. Bitter, citrusy and grapefruity. Herbal, dry and solid hoppy. Smooth fruity and bitter far finish.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a moderate off white head on it. Nose tastes a little old to me. Noticeably hoppy, but itís like they have decayed enough that I canít really get any distinct notes off it. Taste is bitter, but again seems old to me. Could have been good, but hard to tell. Might be isovaleric acid Iím getting. Not a fan as is.

ACHops (653) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 13, 2014
On tap @ Collective on Tap. Pours golden orangish amber with thin white head. Aroma is lightly sweet caramel malt and big citrusy hops. Taste is similar, light body for the abv here. Hops are mostly piney and bitter, which lingers through the finish. Easy drinking, doesnít seem like a 9% brew. Agree with previous review on the price: 22oz bottles frequently go in the $10 range in the Seattle market, this just isnít worth that price.

Poured to NB globe. A: Amber ale with two finger head. Excellent clarity. This fades to a thin white foamy layer. Spider web lacing. S: Pine and citrus are the dominant hop characteristics here. Nicely malted background. T: Very super standard IIPA flavors. Very nice finish which matches the same. M: Medium/heavy mouth with lower carb. Very nice. Slicking and satisfying. D: Quite drinkable, however, not too nice given the price point. I could just as easily pay $7 and get two Ninkasi Bombers. Serving type: bottle 02-22-2011

med amber color, lots of caramel and citrusy. Very bitter but body isnít so heavy . This is your standard PNW IIPA though certainly doesnít take me anywhere special.

Pour is a hazy orange with an average white head. Aroma is on the sweeter side with fresh citrusy hops. Flavor is again sweet honey malts up front then comes your citrus/pine like west coast hops. Not a total hop bomb with the sweeter malt used but this just makes it into the solid category with a decent hoppy backbone.
