Poured from the 22 oz bottle a rich amber with a beige head. Nose of caramel malts and floral and citrus hops. Medium in body. Smooth and clean mouth feel. Flavor is nicely bitter with some ripe fruit in the dry finish. Very tasty and easy drinking.

pours a clear dark amber with a red tint, a medium size off-white head, and good lacing.
smell is of caramel, hops, some floral in the back, and malt.
taste is a little dry, caramel, some bitterness, and earth. ends dry and somewhat bitter.

22. Pours a hazy burnished medium amber with bright golden brown edges and a thin loose tan film on top. Big caramel and brown bread nose. A little butter shows up as it warms, alas. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel, brown bread, and some nice subtle herbal hop counterpoints on the mid palate. Long brown bread finish. I’m on the verge of rating this a lot higher, but an ESB should stay beautiful as it warms, rather than getting buttery. Still, it seems like they might really be onto something with this one if they can let the yeast finish its work before bottling.

Nice and hoppy on the nose with a light malt profile evening out the bitterness. Almost a biscuity character without being too german. Delicious and sessionable.

Rocky, off white head with fair retention and lace. Lightly hazy, brown/amber color. Nose is some sour malts/grains, bread. Body is lightly medium, soft carbonation, lil oily. Dry, malty notes, lil grainy, faintly nutty and fruity, lil brown malt. Dry, malty, yeasty finish. Props to 5000 for the bomber. Thanks Andre!

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big ESB aroma and flavor. This was a very nice ESB. Loved the tapped brew, Great Job Old Schoolhouse.

Bomber shared by tia and HopTsing at the 18th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee, citrus, butter, cinnamon. The taste is toffee, butter and bitter hops. Medium bodied, high carbonation.

Bottle @ 18th RG. Medium brown with cream foamy and light lacing. Not getting much on the aroma, lightly dry-sweet. Not much in the flavor either. Meh.

Bottle:   Deep amber, large frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Soft mealy nose, light breadiness.   Not much biscuit.   Seems like a weak Amber.   Soft breadiness and slight nuts on the tongue, a little mealy, a bit sweet.   Decent, but not a crisp example.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A little grainy on the finish, otherwise mealy, bready, and a bit nutty.   Not bad, but a little average and not as crisp as other examples.
