4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Lazerlobe (10) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - FEB 21, 2013
I’d put this up against most WA IPAs for top regularly available IPA. It walks the fine line of exploding with hops without wrecking the palate. More citrus than floral with some lingering resin.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 sea206 (3) - Washington, USA - FEB 16, 2013 does not count
Nice amber color with a nice head as well. Pine, floral aroma, sweet, spicy hoppy middle and a bitter back. Pretty good, I will definitely pick up this bottle again. I picked up this 22 oz @ Whole Foods Seattle (Interbay) for $5.49. I drank half of this 22 oz, corked it, then drank the second half about 12 hours later, the carbonation and taste held up very well.

Old Schoolhouse has become one of my favorite WA breweries this year. Ruud Awakening is one of the reasons why! Packed with great pine and slight citrus hop aroma, it has a fantastic malt body with nice bitterness and hop flavor. One of the best IPAs from WA state.

650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild pine and citrus. Taste is a bold citrus and piney hop bitterness with a moderate malty sweetness underneath. Medium bodied with modest carbonation. A potent, but nicely done IPA that is definitely recommended and will satisfy many a hardcore hop-head.
