COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Expect your taste buds to be rudely awakened and temporarily disabled by the plethora of hops used in this IPA. Expect a brutally bitter beginning followed by a mild citrus aftertaste.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a nice orange color with a decent off white head. The nose is mainly citric with some pine notes. The flavor has a nice almost nuttiness from the malt and a solid pine bitterness. A nice one two punch. Nice body but not sweet, the malt does a nice job of adding good flavor balance without a lot of sugar. Medium bodied with average carbonation leading to a lengthy bitter finish. Quite tasty.

Bomber served in a tulip. Pours clear amber-orange with a short orange-white head. Good retention and impressive lacing. Citrus and pine aromatics. Pineapple, orange, grass, and resin. Medium body, creamy-thin mouthfeel. Solid resiny bitter attack followed by more bitterness on the grapefruity finish. A more balanced effort would make this a stunner.

Draft. Coppery orange, white head. Citrus and herb aroma, some caramel sweetness dedectable. Toasty caramel, moderately sweet body, becomes leafy and floral with dry citrus on the finish. Has a pretty forceful bitter bite that balances out the sweet body well. One of the better samples I had at April Brewsday.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2014 Bold and tasty IPA. Hazy amber hue. Balanced malt flavors are full of bread crust, caramel and toffee. Hops are very grassy, herbal and floral. A citric bitterness lingers on the tongue well into the aftertaste. Seems to get better and better as the years go by.

amber body, white head, short retention. snappy, fresh and sugary citrus hop nose. weighty, round malt feel but hop-focused. dried, sugared peach, apricot and pineapple hop flavor. highly bitter. a bit of an uncontrolled monster. in an awesome way. swing your arms wide inside the china store and break some shit and be proud of it.

Bottle:   Hazy dull amber, moderate to large foamy head, off-white, very sticky lacing.   One of the better looking IPAs I have seen in a while.   Sharp citrus rind on the nose, a little spruce or pine as well.   Very astringent citrus rind on the tongue.   Seems rough.   No sweetness, floral or citrus sweetness.   This one really needs some sweetness to balance it out.   As its its fairly bitter, dry, and lacking in malt sweetness.   Rather bitter, unbalanced, and rough from start to finish.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full, despite me wanting it to have more malty sweetness.   Overall its just rough and a little too hopsided.

Pours slightly hazy orange with a foamy beige head. Aroma has lots of pine, herb, some citrus, toffee. Taste is good, lots of malt to balance the bitterness. Very resinous, not a lot of floral or citrus hop tastes. Bitter finish is long. Malt is thick and juicy, carbonation is full.

22 ounce thanks to 5000. Nice pour. Orange body. Really nice pine/floral/grapefruit taste going on. Hops do their work here. Very tasty beer.

Nice citus/grapefruit, earthy bitterness. Gread head, almost grey/orange looking. Nice malt flavour, turns too quickly to the hops. The hops dominate the palate and then fade out bitter. It’s quite good, worth having again the bitterness doesn’t last too long.

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a very thin slightly-off white head and a bright glow. Aroma of potent hops, apples, fruit, resin and a touch of pine are all noticeable and very strong at that. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hops in the flavour with pine and floral notes very strong coupled with a well-balanced malt backbone and a lightly bittered finish. Aftertaste shows a lot of pine and floral hops, a good amount of malt and a good metallic and pungent earthy finish. Overall, a nice IPA - strong as hell showing a lot of good hop character and a flash of bitterness, paired with the perfect amount of malt. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Ye Olde Spirit Shop in Frederick, Maryland on 29-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 12-September-2010.
