Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and soft hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.

22oz bottle, shared. Mostly clear dark ruby red color. Little off-white head. Bit of lace. Dark fruity nose. Smooth, lighter, softer carbonation. More dry texture. Some maple syrup. Light chocolate. Little bitter taste. Nice nose and flavor to this. Something about it is lacking for me, but it’s a decent brown ale

22oz bottle, poured a gorgeous brown with a creamy tan head (tulip glass) slightly less appealing dark copper in a pint glass, same head, both with great lacing. Smell was lightly sweet and malty. Delicious crisp forefront with a solid roast finish. Clean and easy drinking. Could use a little more body, but still a great early autumn brown ale!

Bottle:   Brown, large frothy beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Sweet malty aroma, a little nutty, soft chocolate, cocoa, and salted caramel.   Nutty like breadiness up front, semi-sweet, soft cocoa and a bit of musty chocolate bring up the backside.   Hop aspect is minor.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Seems pretty smooth.   Very clean, lingering nuttiness/breadiness, darker malts, some musty chocolate, with little in the way of hops.   Enjoyed it more than I thought I would!
