Dear Raters! The Wee XP is our first shot at a lower ABV pale ale. She’s not quite American in style its not quite British either but somewhere in the middle... and because she is not as big as our Mighty XP we called her Wee... and because she is our session ale we have called her our Swally Ale... Cool? We have used a combination of American hops including Chinook, Columbus and Cascade and have gone for the a real orange citrus grind on the palate... but not tried to make the beer overly bitter as the goal was to make a decent session ale. We have also dry hopped with bitter orange peel and balanced with a touch of rye in the malt... We would love you to judge this beer on it’s drinkability! Want to beer geek out with us? Or just join for a beer or two and tell use how we can be better brewers - we are always looking to be better!!! Slight citrus aroma and a decent creamy head. Sour hop taste and a slightly bland finish. Drinkable but disappointing.

Bottle from cellarbrations super store hami hill. Pours pale amber with a thin white head. Not much to comment on with the aroma besides some slighty grainy notes mixed with a bit of lemon. Carbonation is moderate with a light body. Taste is slightly malty. First up on the tongue you get slight caramel sweetness which then becomes slightly citrusy and buttery. I guess for an English pale this is pretty decent.

Good amber colour. Not a very pungent aroma. Massive hoppy hit but very bitter. Quite a shock to the senses ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at Alexander Graham Bell Appearance - light amber with a decent head. Nose - mixture of floral and biscuit notes. Taste - more biscuits with s lemon or grapefruit note towards the end. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry finish. Overall - pale ale and heading in the direction of a Bitter style.

Cask at standing order. Golden pour, thin white head. Caramel and malt aromas, light oranges. More on the taste, decent bitterness. Ok, but a bit dull.

Cask by handpump at Hengler’s Circus, Glasgow - clear amber, thin off-white head, weak floral malty aroma, good film of lacing, bit of malt, bit of fruit, very easy to drink, sweet, refreshing

Cask @ Henglers a Circus. Orange brown, reasonable head. Toffee malt aroma. Orange malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Best so far from this brewery.

Dark chestnut brown, light haze and caramel glimmer, beige head. Dank malty nose, yeasty/mouldy but slightly intriguing. Full on rusty bitter initial taste, light creamy/banana middle and not the most inspiring of finishes. Sweetish around a soft mouthfeel and a sweet-tea linger.
