COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This amber brew is a classic American Pale Ale due to its full flavour and hoppy aroma. It has a great balance between the malt and the hop character. The distinctive hoppy flavour and aroma is a result of the addition of over 11 pounds of fresh Cascade hops per batch.

Bottled in Kimberley, BC. Clear amber, no head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. More caramel than hops. Slight resiny bitterness. Feels a bit limp.

Full amber; big cascade nose - grapefruit, pine. Very thick and saplike that aroma. Fairly even balance - restrained bitterness; some bread crust, wood, earth, citrus.

Very nice floral hoppy nose. Good sweet malt with notes of cookies blended with floral west coast hops, with very balanced citrus. Good body.

Cloudy orange-amber beer with a huge rocky white head. Nice Cascade hop aroma. The flavour is well-balanced between caramel-sweet malt and the refreshing hoppy flavour. Finish is surprisingly mellow given the strong hop aroma, with sweet almost butterscotch like flavour.

amazing initial aroma of grapefruit and orange fruit. Lots of cascade hops. Nice long lasting foamy head on opaque yellow. Easy on tongue, but a bomber is too much of it. Decent pale, but pales in comparison to standard English or other North American. Quaffable. Had at Volo Cafe.

A fat butter candy (Marie-Eve even adds "Werther's Original") overtakes the expected Cascade hops, which remain in the back...The thick, creamy texture supercedes the vulnerable fruitiness of watery oranges...Nonetheless, a wholehearted, hefty summer ale...

Bottle at Volo. Sightly hazy orange amber body with a good size fluffy white head (3+) Very grapefruity aroma carries over into the flavour which is extremely grapefruity. Not particularly bitter really, and not very well balanced. Tasty and enjoyable but needs more balance and complexity to make it worth a second look. Average palate.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2003 Nice amber body, small white head with not so regular bubbles. I can't see any trace of carbonation inside the glass. Lovely hoppy aroma reminding of the christmas tree. Medium to full body with light caramel flavor. Well-balanced hops, earthy, notes of flowers, not agressively bitter. It tastes fresh, a beer I like. / Off a second bottle (within the same month), I found it way less flavorful with a watery feeling that made me remove a few points, I'll consider the hypothesis that this was not well kept during transportation.

Slightly organic, milky, hoppy, acidic aroma, wet green grass. Pillow head, creamy, visible carbonation. Slightly sour , acidic and hoppy . Medium bodied with fine finish. Friendly warmth of alcohol.

Bottle (650ml). At Volo, shared with blankboy. Poured clear bubbly amber with a huge long-lasting pillowy foamy off-white head. Nice aroma of mildly resiny-citrusy hops and appreciable sweet roasty malt, definitely a lactose note there. Taste is muted and blended malt/hops, somewhat resiny, with a grapefruit finish, somewhat quick diminishing - very fizzy mouthfeel, I was quite surprised. A good APA, but not a great one.
