Tasted pretty good. I have had better. I would buy it again for the right price. Nice to see more Canadian stouts on the market. Now I am just rambling to reach my 75 character quota.

Pours dark and has micro brown head that leaves a bit of lacing. The smell is slightly burnt coffee and chocolate. The taste is pretty much the way it smells but with Oates and caramel added. Some bitterness at the end.

A well-balanced stout with a lot of great coffee and chocolate taste from the roast. Mouthfeel is a bit light for the breed, but it does serve to make for a very easy-drinking pint.

22oz bottle split with a friend. Kind of a something dull stout - could use a little more body.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 This is a good stout. It’s dark, flavours of cereal, oats, and malted barley. It’s got satisfying flavour. Sometimes I crave Cheerios for their simple clean grain flavour. That’s what this beer is like, except more (ful)filling. OYBC brews good beer and it’s price point is considerably better than most microbreweries. Great value here. This Sasquatch Stout will wrap his big dark arms around you like you were his best friend.

A truly fantastic stout, though not with a strong aroma. Lovely coffee-ish flavour and finishes very smoothly. I would have again.

Aroma: Light aroma of rich coffee and roasted malts. Appearance: Pours opaque brown-black with a thin mocha-brown head that quickly dissipates with mild lacing. Taste: Dark roasted malt offers up strong coffee notes without much bitterness, fading into a gently mettallic minerality that reminds me of the scent of pine or cedar(!!) that manages to be quite pleasant. Strange, but pleasant. Definitely a beer that made me do a double-take on more than one sip, but in a good way. Palate: Thin and silky, with only very little carbonation and a little bit of mid-tongue astringency. Finish is of dark roast malt, coffee notes, with only very mild bitterness, and a lingering hint of that pine/cedar at the roof of the mouth. Overall: If you like stouts, this is a pretty damn good one, but it is *very* strange. Those pine/cedar notes would seem out of place in most beers, but this one carries itself with a steady balance that invites sip after (confused, delighted) sip. My co-taster suggests it reminds him of sipping a stout at an autumn campfire, and I’m inclined to agree.
