Apparently this beer one best beer in Canada for 2014. In my opinion, this makes the Sasquatch severely overrated. There is really nothing that I can see smell or taste to distinguish this for many other middling stouts on the market. Maybe it's a crowdpleaser because it's not too dark, not too bitter, not too strong, but unfortunately it's also not too memorable.

Black body with a light brown foamy head. Aroma is slightly bitter hops and coffee. Taste is bitter chocolate and espresso with a bit of a wooden bark taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drinking from a 650 cl bottle. Roast malt, coffee, mocca and dark chocolate in the aroma. The unclear? black beer has a medium brown head. In the taste espresso, caramel and chocolate. A bit watery. Medium carbonated.

Bottle from Jasper liqor store and wine cellar. Quite rubbery and roasted, pours oily and fairly thick. It maybe lacks a little body and the finish goes quite sharp and metallic. There’s a bit of blackcurrant later on and it dries out towards the end.

Nearly black pour with an average tan head that has good staying power. Leaves a little lace. Light coffee and dark fruit on the nose with a nice earthy touch. A lot of coffee in the mouth which overpowers a lot of the subtler notes from the nose. Good, but not great.

Growler. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Pretty light body but lots of roasty flavour. Coffee and chocolate notes. Some sweet malt any roasty bitterness. Not bad, but just too light bodied.
