Boutip (1815), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Nov 8, 2007 Bottle: Poured a deep black color stout with a big dark brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt with some subtle coffee notes. Taste is also dominated by some semi-sweet chocolate notes with some subtle but well balance coffee notes. Body has a nice creamy texture with some good carbonation. I thought this was very well done for the style, nothing extreme in here but very well balanced overall. charley599 (1), Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada does not count May 7, 2005 Look out Guiness, the Sasquatch has arrived. Good roasted and chocolate malt character. Well balanced, drying, hop bitterness. Oats add a smooth mouth feel. Would definitely recommend. Hazel_Rah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada Oct 1, 2005 Pours a deep dark brown with massive brown head. Roasty aroma reflected in the flavour along with a good deal of chocolatey sweetness. Oatmeal provides this with some needed smoothness and the EKG’s even make an appearance. GregClow (2350), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Jet black colour with a large dark tan head. Nice roasty aroma, very deep and layered, with notes of espresso, cocoa, and mild smoke. Thin body - a bit disappointing. Flavour is good, with the expected dark malt, coffee and cocoa, but not quite as complex as the aroma suggests. Still, it’s a good stout, quite enjoyable. Enniskillen (1589), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Sep 11, 2007 Blck with a big tan head. Aroma is chocolate, mocha, licorice, smoke. Taste is a light smokiness, with chocolate, and well roasted.
