Black brown with medium tan head, moderate lacing. Nice semi-sweet roasted malt flavour with coffee & chocolate notes. Medium light body. Not outstanding but pleasant.

Pours a pretty thin but black with a thin tan head. Decent coffee and some chocolate, but not a great cup of coffee smell. not sure, its not working for me. Quite a smooth and easy drinking beer.

Pours a black opaque with a nice thin light brown coat over the top sticking up the sides of the glass. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malt, and lightly hopped. Flavours of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and a light dry/bitter finish.

On tap at Whet in Granville Island. Poured in a sleeve for measure and repoured into a small snifter for aroma. A pretty decent stout, with good notes of coffee and chocolate on the tongue. Not getting much nose, probably because the snifter is a bit tiny.

A well-balanced stout with a lot of great coffee and chocolate taste from the roast. Mouthfeel is a bit light for the breed, but it does serve to make for a very easy-drinking pint. It is in regular circulation in my beer fridge and definitely worth a try.

Pours a dark blackish brown with a large beige head. The nose is bitter chocolate, coffee, and a touch of wood. The pallet is fairly light, almost like a Irish stout. Creamy Coffee and bitter chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep dark brown with massive brown head. Roasty aroma reflected in the flavour along with a good deal of chocolatey sweetness. Oatmeal provides this with some needed smoothness

Pours thickly very near black with light brown head. Aromas of chocolate, chicory, roast. Very lively in the mouth, with chocolate/coffee leading the way but there’s a substantial fruitiness in behind. Very nicely balanced with lingering bitter (from hops+roast) finish. Smooth mouthfeel.

Single bottle purchased from Zyn Liqour in Calgary, AB on 04/20/2012. Colour: Pretty much black with no head. Nose: Grocery store freezer smell is among oil and tar. Small traces of vanilla. Taste: Light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. A big malty dark grain sandwich. Seriously tasted like I was eating a piece of bread. Pleasently light caramel mid palate and a rush of sour mash late. Finish of plain donut. Average.

650ml bottle pours black in color with a 2 finger beige head that settles quite quickly to reveal some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is chocolate with roasted barley and mild hops. Taste is chocolate malty sweetness with some roasted barley and light hop bitterness and hints of coffee. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Quite a tasty stout and recommended for a pleasant tasting experience.
