Mouth comes through with no shortage of hops with lots of bitter tingling goodness, but there is no structure and body around the hops to complete the full package. Some more roasted notes and deeper characteristics would make this a gem. manuchampions (139), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 30, 2009 220z bottle from BC Liquor. Pours a clear golden with thin head. Aroma has good English hopping with little malt evident. Taste is grassy, pleasingly hoppy but certainly in an English style. Malt balances well but is hard to pick out specifically. A decent local effort but again geared less for the west coast IPA lover. It really does make me wish there were two different categories for the two different interpretations of IPA...one like this suffers when not compared only to similar English style offerings. turboespresso (83), Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Bottle. Clear and coppery. Not much head and it dissipates quickly. Hop aroma is very faint but pleasant. Taste is typical pale malt with strong piney, resinous hops. Not well carbonated, this beer is on the flat side. Lots to like but also lots of room for improvement. Nena (192), West Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Updated: Oct 21, 2009Pours gold, a bit hazy, with a big white head. I don’t know if it was my bottle, but I found the aroma to be very funky and not that appealing. The hops didn’t smell strong to me, and I got a lot of wet hay, sour, hempy smells. Not necessarily bad, but strange for an IPA. Taste is that of a solid English style IPA, rather pine forward with caramel malts and more yeasty fruit flavors present than I’m accustomed to in IPAs. Overall, tastes fine but the aroma killed it for me a bit. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Quite a nice IPA, with a decent head and colour. Aroma and taste certainly do bring the strong hoppiness (odd word, that). Aftertaste is a bit crisp, in a pleasant way. Papsoe (15178), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Bottle. [Papso Shady blind Tasting 2009] Average fin bubbled beige head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Clear somewhat yellow golden color. Aroma of mild pine like, grapefruit, grass, caramel, toasted malt. Over the palate came also light spice and perfume like notes as well. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Lingering dry bitter finish with a malty undertone. 7 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15 = 3.8
