3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden colour with a creamy white head. A touch of haze and a nice sticky lacing. Nice spicy aroma of Goldings, some citrus and a bit of sweet maltiness. Flavour is nicely hoppy. Herbaceous, slightly piney on the front before the malt comes through, followed by a hint of spice and a long lasting bitterness. Well-made.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy deep golden with a very puffy and well-lacing white head. Aroma is fresh and hoppy with a faint caramel and floral character. Body has a nive sweetness and is well balanced with the hoppy bitterness, but I detect a floral tasting fructose flavor in the beginning that is sort of off-putting. I guess I'm not a big fan of Goldings hops in IPAs, otherwise this was a nice IPA. Thanks Rastacouere.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light copper in colour... perhaps the least red IPA that I've had. It had a complex aroma of grapefruit, tangerine, hops, and just the slightest hint of caramel malt at the end. The flavor was less complex, with dominant notes of tangerine and white grape (which was VERY STRONG). Finished with some hoppy bitterness. This seemed very unbalanced; first it was way too sweet, and the drying bitter hops followed.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pine resin hop aroma subsumed with big sweet maltiness. Hazy golden straw colour with thin whote fully-diminishing head. Good floral/pine hop flavour up front followed by sweet malt and a lasting bitterness in the finish. Lively carbonation has the flavours dancing across the tongue but perhaps leaves the body feeling a little bit light.A fine example of an IPA that is tasty, properly balanced and not taken to extreme. Bottle.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Floral sugary hoppy nose. Some grapefruit notes. Hazy light orange, small white head. Flavour is predominatly hoppy, but not overbearing leaving room for some nice sweet malt. Piney citrus notes. Medium body. Good beer. Bottle.

Very light floral hops nose with some malts. Sweet malt infused with floral resinous hops and almost lime citrus taste. Good body.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2004 Nice crisp fresh balanced flavour although it needs more hops to be a true IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wow, I can't believe this is an English IPA. The color is classic, gold with a medium to large head. Aroma is sweet and piney. Twigs and earthy flavors I've grow to expect in a English style IPA are that prevailent. No bitterness to speak of, prefectly balanced. Creamy, but light mouthfeel, moderately sweet finish. Really nice IPA, David!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
I drank it off a Maudite glass (on a Maudite coaster!) and I must say it looked pretty much like the Maudite! Hazy orange with a rather small off-white head, but long-lasting. Aroma is earthy hops, very grapefruity. Taste is bread, piney hops. Finish is moderately bitter: very long, dry and hoppy. Mouthfeel is slightly foamy, overall pretty thin. It lacks the deep balancing malt character which I love, malt is present, but goes rather unnoticed instead of enhancing the enjoyment and complexity.

Muddy copper. Fluffy tan head. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch, brown sugar, & light citrusy hops. Medium, buttery feel. Very earthy beer w/ good butterscotch-y malt background. Very bitter finish w/ some fruity character.
