1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can from U-Save Liquor in Chowchilla, CA for $1.50. Nice looking medium gold pour with with an inch white head that lasts for a long time. Fine carbonation cascades from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is not too bad. I get some nice hops, but also a little metallic presence. Flavor is sour and metallic with a slightly sweet corn finish. Heavy carbonation and lighter body. Overall the beer does not taste very good, but it is drinkable. The appearance though is what surprised me. The color was nice, the head lasted for a long time, and the bubbles cascading from the bottom of the glass were appealing.
On a side note, this place sells Sculpin 22oz bottles for $3.79.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can, 24oz. A clear, golden beer topped by a white head. Quite neutral aroma, but sweetish. Some grains and popcorn, and a hint of fruityness. Lots of popcorn in the flavor, with some fruity hints and a faint bitterness. Medium body, slighlty sticky, with a soft carbonation and too much alcohol warmth. Sweet, popcorn-like and lightly fruity finish. I expected a lot more awfulness from this one, actually itís not that bad... but still nothing Iíll repeat. 130804

40. I had such a horrible, horrible day, that I bought a 40 and paid entirely in change. Served as cold as I could get it. Aroma: Considering this comes in a clear bottle, Iím surprised at how un-skunky it is. It actually smells like a weak lager. Appearance: Clear, fizzy, and yellow. White soapy head, if you pour it. But why would you? Taste: Corny water. Yikes. Thereís still a good 39oz left. Palate: Thin and exceptionally watery. Overall: It was like two dollars and I hate today. Donít judge me.
