24 oz can. From a Shell gas station in Lexington, KY.
Clear pale golden colour with a small to average sized white head. Mild bitterness, malt and almond in a bad aroma. Quite tasteless which is probably a good thing. Very bad.

40 oz. bottle. Maybe the worst of the worst in malt liquors. Most commonly drunk out of paper bags. This is as bad as it gets. Good luck making it to the bottom without throwing up. I didn’t.

Can. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, cereal), lightly hoppy (flowers), hint of apple. Flavor is moderately sweet. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Oddly, I'm going against the grain just a bit and saying this isn't too bad for this easy-to-dismiss style...yes, it's grainy, adjuncty, and sweet, but I detected no DMS, metallic, or dirty flavors in my sample. I've definitely had much worse.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 24oz can as part of the Thunderbird malt liquor tasting. It pours a seductable golden yellow with a thick white head. The nose is white musk, spice, rotten apple and hooker perfume. The taste is sweetcorn, corn syrup, garbage, sugar and rotten fruit with a nasty compost finish. Light body, maximum damage. Lives up to the hype.

4/21/10. "Florida Forty" (aka 32oz bottle because of our stupid laws) into a footed pilsner glass (hey, why not?). The pour is clear dark golden yellow with a small fizzy white head that disappears fast, no lacing. The aroma is quite plain with some corn, wet cereal, wet dog, and sweet malt. The flavor leans towards the sweet malty side with wet cereal, grassiness, and a lingering dryness. Really not as awful as I was expecting, but far from good.

I saw a man on the street corner in downtown Atlanta with one of these slightly hidden under a brown paper bag. Enough said.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Oh goddamn this sucks. Pale gold pour. Aroma and taste of skunky corn and grass. Disgusting.
