Aroma was similar to that of cheap beer and stomach acids. Didnít look as bad as it tasted, the flavor was offensive. The only reason one should purchase this, is to use it for itís alcohol content

Big ass bottle from Fratto. I brought my small tasting glass and could take no more than 6 oz. :) Pours a clear straw color, with hardly any carbonation. Aroma is corny, alcohol, grains and sweet rice. Flavor of hurt. Grains, alcohol, sharp flavors that burn the throat. Ugh.

40oz from a gas station in Troy, TX. Carefully poured into my Single Malt Scotch Association snifter. Light orange pour with a thick white head. Aroma is just grainy and kinda weird. Taste is painfully sweet, ,alcohol, and what I assume is sweat from the underside of a mountain manís breast.

Bottle. A - Not a bad pour. Very light apple juice colored gold with a large, light, fluffy, sticky, bright white head. Somewhat thick, very good retention, and a decent patchy lace. S - Pretty subdued. Sweet corn and malt with a touch of cooked vegetable. Some of that overly sweet, slightly tart and acidic apple, but not in a good way. Slight alcohol. T - Typical malt liquor flavors. Sweet corn and malt flavors. A lot of sweet candish apple mid sip toward the finish. A bit of a cooked vegetable flavor as well. A bit of an off floralish flavor. Definite grainy finish. M - Light, thin body with average carbonation. Dry, sticky finish. D - Not offensive, but no where near easy to drink. Sweet, alcoholy, and a touch cloying/sticky. Not easy to drink plenty of. Notes: Meh, not overly impressed, but what I more or less expected. Average high gravity malt liquor. Overly sweet with corn and apple and alcohol.

Sampled from a 40 oz bottle of course, is there any other way? Pour a little on the ground for the homies that canít drink with you, add a little orange juice and you and your brass monkey are off to the races. Tape one to each hand, next stop blackoutville.

The beer is ravished with fusel oils. Itís hard to really rate this one, because it does have a half-assed malt liquor taste (which I like) but is drowned out by the persistent fumes of a bad fermentation. I wouldnít say it has a high sugar content, but it is a bit sweet. There is a very faint taste of a good brew, with good ingredients some where in it, but itís hidden deep down inside under the failed attempt at a re-pitched fermentation. The only thing this has going for it is 8% abv, but when compared to say steel reserve, this is a waste of time and money. Well not money, itís pretty cheap. Honestly itís cheaper then say coca-cola at comparative volumes. All-in-all Iíd say if you strapped for cash like myself, and need a little late night buzz, pick it up, unless the store you go to offers steel reserve, then donít bother. And honestly itís 100% better tasting then earthquake.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2010 I honestly have no idea why I would try Olde English High Gravity 800. Must have been poor and desperate (or economical!).

A: Since itís a clear 40, thereís really no pour required to see the appearance. A rather dark color for malt liquor, golden with a rocky white head. S: The smell is sweet and rather unoffensive. Actually some notes of bananas along with the usual tooth-rotting sweetness. Apple juice, corn syrup, corn, and even a little bit of a sweet bread aroma. T: A rather pleasant flavor, too. Sweet banana bread, apple juice, and corn syrup. A bit of a malty character to this beer which is sort of a welcome surprise. M: The body is quite full for a malt liquor. The carbonation might be lacking a little bit, unfortunately, though. D: I had my fill of this and shared it with friends (it was a buddyís birthday and it was a "40s" party). All agreed this was a pretty damn good malt liquor.

Bad aftertaste, rancid mouth. Not fit for students, bums or the desperate for a drink. Nothing but horrible taste and booze. I am less of a person for having consumed this.
