From the 40 fl. oz. bottle marked AUG3109-DO5111908. I am not sure what earlier raters have been drinking but I found this to be much more tolerable and likeable than previous advertised. The pour is a hazy, pale yellow tone with a good topping of fizzy white head that slowly drizzles downward. I expected an aroma of metal and alcohol but I sensed more of a thin malt, light hop, and bready aroma. The mouthfeel was kind of thin. The taste had a bit of a tart bite but overall it was drinkable. Would it be my first choice? No. But I am prepared to rate it higher than 1-1.3.

In Canada we don’ty call anything HG. It comes to us imported in 40oz 1.18L bottles olny. No can’s and coast a pricy 5.80 drank alot of these in my day’s. I tryed the 5. something american version once in can and once in bottle both from Buffalo NY. Fav version is Buffalo’s 5. something in a bottle(can made it watery)The 8% version is awsome too,but sometimes I get super fucked up while on it and have finished the 40 off and gotten high bassicly while blacked out from it. Suposably I am aware of what was going on but know nothing about it.(well few times I saw video’s on cam,so knew what happened later next day)It’s good shit but pricy as fuck in Canada!

From the can. Hugely sweet corny nose. Some metallic notes. Apple cidery. Can is cool, but not that cool. Drinks very sweet. Full of corn and apple cider. Becomes rather boozy as it warms.

Very sweet, corn, metallic, and grass. Unfortunately, following a tasting of barleywines and impstouts, this is a horrible dissapointment. About one point shy of dreadfull.

24 oz can- Sample- Better head than expected, still horrible medicine flavor. All I need is a paper bag and some old scummy clothes and i am set.

24 oz can. Wow, I’m surprised this got even this high. I was expecting bottom of the barrel stuff, but it’s not as bad as some other beers I’ve so far rated. Actually poured a nice head. Aroma is of corn. Tastes metallic. All in all, pretty horrible, but not as bad as I was expecting. Now, where’s my paper bag?

Even more alcohol than the 7.5, but they still haven’t figured out a way to make it taste any better! Better luck next time, guys.
