Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, light nutty, moderate alcohol - bourbon, vanilla, wood notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorcice - laber larver. Sweet aroma of caramel and dried fruits with notes of liquorice and alcohol.
Sweet flavour of caramel, dried fruits, liquorice and alcohol.
Warming alcoholic finish.
Too much alcohol.

Appearance: cloudy dark burnt orange, fine off white head, bits of drippy lace
Aroma: huge dark caramel aroma with lots of bourbon and vanilla sweetness balanced by a touch of background oak
Flavor: big bourbon and vanilla flavor, lots of oak adds balance, dark caramel adds extra sweetness, lots of fruityness rises out of the sweetness but is restrained by the oak, long lasting bitter finish
Overall: should age relly well to allow the fruity character to ripen

where has the time gone?, still rich caramel with a good dose of bourbon, fruityness never did develop, oxidation picks up an almost vegitable character,
