This beer is pretty gnarly...flavors of vanilla, burnt marshmallow, slight strawberry and whiskey. It’s overly sweet, I had to dump it out.

Soft reddish copper pour with a thin wispy tan head. Nose shows soft vanilla and burnt sugar with some fruit skins. Mild infection shows too. Fruit skins and a light slickness in the flavor. Nice flavor, barrel character shows but definitely infected.

Sampled at an esbls tasting at Strykzone’s plade. Poued vey dark brown Nose is dominated by whiskey aromas. Medium plus in body. Alcoholic mouth feel The flavor is complex and whiskey again dominates. This was an interesting take on a brown beee and overall was fun to drink, but is was a sipper for sure.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Dark brown. A blast of whiskey hits the nose. Vanilla. The flavor is dominated by vanilla. Wood, too. This is really sweet. The finish was back to whiskey.

Interesting yet odd combo of beer and BBL tastes. But it misses a touch. Strong bourbon flavor without being harsh

Strong aroma of bourbon and what seems like scotch, dark changing appearance, simpler than expected taste with a thin mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a moderate off-white head. Nose is hugely filled with bourbon, and I get little else with it. Taste is much like a muted bourbon with a bit of harshness. OK, but too bourbon forward for my tastes.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and wood aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good brew.

22 oz. bottle from my NC friends. Pours a deep reddish amber color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malts, bourbon, ripe fruity notes with a very light woody note. The flavor is sweet caramel, bourbon, big fruity notes, vanilla and light wood character. A touch thin and definitely sweeter. Not too bad overall, but I couldn’t drink this by myself.

22 oz bottle to snifter (thanks alexsdad06). Looks solid; a semi-transparent amberish-brown with thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes sweet with notes of malt and bourbon with an average mouthfeel. A little thin, but good beer nonetheless.
