New Frontier Beer: Boone, travelling through Kentucky on his way to the frontier, needed a place to store his beer. He placed an imperial brown in discarded bourbon barrels. Months later he had an amazing beer that would cellar well. And so the legend was born. *Events presented here are not factual, but are based on actual events. In our dreams. After sampling the beer a few times. Cheers!

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2016 Amber brown pour, smaller head. Bready, roasty, slightly metallic, woody in the aroma and taste - very little bourbon. Lighter booze notes. Age probably did this bottle no favours.

Cheesy label on bomber. Foggy, chestnut brown beer without much head. Nice nose: woody caramel, vaporous and sweet. A little mineral, tangy, woody, sweet, caramel/toffee tones and alcohol bittering. Medium heavy boddy, wood-bitter aftertaste. Pretty good, sweeter as it warms. Thanks to LuckyDog.
