COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New Frontier Beer: Boone, travelling through Kentucky on his way to the frontier, needed a place to store his beer. He placed an imperial brown in discarded bourbon barrels. Months later he had an amazing beer that would cellar well. And so the legend was born. *Events presented here are not factual, but are based on actual events. In our dreams. After sampling the beer a few times. Cheers!

Strong aroma of bourbon and what seems like scotch, dark changing appearance, simpler than expected taste with a thin mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a moderate off-white head. Nose is hugely filled with bourbon, and I get little else with it. Taste is much like a muted bourbon with a bit of harshness. OK, but too bourbon forward for my tastes.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and wood aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good brew.

22 oz. bottle from my NC friends. Pours a deep reddish amber color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malts, bourbon, ripe fruity notes with a very light woody note. The flavor is sweet caramel, bourbon, big fruity notes, vanilla and light wood character. A touch thin and definitely sweeter. Not too bad overall, but I couldn’t drink this by myself.

22 oz bottle to snifter (thanks alexsdad06). Looks solid; a semi-transparent amberish-brown with thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes sweet with notes of malt and bourbon with an average mouthfeel. A little thin, but good beer nonetheless.

Big thanks to Jon for bringing this one in! Pours a murky brown with small bubbly head. Nose and flavor bring beautiful hazelnut, caramel, and molasses but with some good boozy bite and vanilla to expand the palate of this brown ale. Medium bodied, with a strange astringency at the finish that I expect would fade with a month or two of age. Tasty stuff!

Draft. Hazy brown. No head but typical. Tasty and smooth bourbon finish. Aroma is sweet bourbon. Very little alcoholic finish. Awesome beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to TURDFERGUSON: Poured a deep brown with a carbonated off white bubble head, it dissipated fast to leave a jello like thin film. Aroma is strong caramel malt with a nice boozy bourbon hint. Taste is very complex with roasted caramel malt, souring wood, vanilla and bourbon mixed. A delightful brown ale for a change.

22oz Bottle. The pour was a murky medium chestnut brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown creamy head that was mostly diminishing, reducing down to a thin puddled film and medium collar which produced only fair streaky lacing. It had an aroma that was of toasted sweet dark bread malts and an earthy leathery yeast with notes of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, bourbon and a slight nutty/woody scent. As for the taste it was sweet and malty with a hint of caramel and a touch of chocolate pretty much throughout, with the finish having a strong vanilla presence and a slightly nutty alcohol ending. The flavor lingered for an average duration proceeding the swallow with a boozy, sweet, nutty, cask taste settling nicely on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was medium in body and a bit dry in texture with a soft mild carbonation. Overall this brew screams booze and vanilla towards the end, with the middle having a light chocolate-caramel sweetness and a nice dark roastiness...

22 ounce bottle thanks to Geoff. Nice carbonation. Slightly boozy nose. Caramel and brown sugar and molasses like sweetness in taste. A little bit sticky. Not too much bourbon on the taste.
