Orange pour with tan head and lace. Resiny hops, bready biscuits, and caramel malt. Sweet caramel malt, bready, with a nice resiny bitter. Medium/full bodied with good carbonation.

Durhambeer gave me this one for Chanukah, that’s right Bob... this one was for Chanukah.
The beer pours an orange color with a big white head and good lace.
The aroma is spicy hops and lots of citrus, there is a fair bit of caramel in there as well.
The flavor is surprisingly malty with some biscuit-y character and a fair dose of caramel, but it’s got hops too... don’t’ worry. Lots of spicy and piney hop flavor is abound with this one and the bitterness level in on the high end in a most enjoyable way.
This is certainly pushing the boundaries of how much crystal malt I can handle in an IPA but pulls off being delicious never the less.

An incredibly hop profile. Bottle from the bestway. Loved it so much I made a second trip and got the last bottle. Aroma, bitterness, and everything involved with the profile is top notch. Bubblegum amarillo dominates. Dark orange color. Citrus bitterness on teh front of the palate. Metallic and grassy on the back. One of the best doubles I have had in al ong time. Perfect balance.

Thank you Sam! Pours a hazy, dark orange with a thin, off-white head that quickly fades out to a foam slick. Aroma is hop bitterness, some sweet malt, faded floral hops and remnants of what where probably some very nice tropical notes. The bottle reads best by February 2012 but I did sit on this for a bit too long. The hop bitterness in the taste is a bit stronger than anticipated from the aroma but it’s not overdone and there is a bit of balancing malt (slightly sweet but mostly dry underneath). Pretty clean mouthfeel. I like this beer and suspect I would have liked it even more if I would not have waited so long to open it. Good stuff.

Pours orange with a nice thick white head that quickly fades. Smells of grapefruit, pine, orange, caramel, mango and grass. Taste pine, grapefruit, honey, orange, lemon, mango and grass. This is nice fresh IPA! Rather thick on the palate with a nice long pine and grapefruit finish.

From bomber in to English pint glass. Spongy 1" white head on bronze liquid. Thick lacing. Aroma: predominantly pine, but some toasted marshmallow enters the mix, unexpectedly. Massively bitter, and I love it. This thing sings with alpha hops. Virtually no alcohol flavor. Dry, but maybe that’s just because the bitterness is so profound. One of the most bitter beers I’ve ever had.

Flavors of dank initially soft fruit underneath apricot orange peach. Soft sugary sweetness, pale malt, floral dank finish. Lingering danky bitterness. Solid stuff.

Bottle from Sam’s in Durham. Pours surprisingly hazy, sort of peach colored. Thin white head dies down and ends up a bit wispy. Nose of apricots, peaches, citrus, lemon zest, mild resin, and Juicy Fruit gum. Taste is similar but with a bitter kick at the end. Slick palate. Nice.
