COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Winner of the First Olde Hickory Pro Am competition. Very limited production. Our brew master says: 71lbs of high alpha hops were used to make this limited production beer of only 13 barrels. Thatís just over 20 grams of hops used for each pint! DBH was brewed with 2 row barley, Carapils and Crisp Crystal 45 malts and fermented to 7% alc/vol. DBH was hopped with 5 different West Coast hops: Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, Centennial and Cascade. Additionally, DBH was twice dry hopped with different combinations of these hops. The net result is an amazing aroma of ripe juicy fruit mixed in with a bouquet of spring flowers. DBH was brewed to a level of bitterness of 108 IBUís, and leaves a lingering bitterness; it is, after all, a Double IPA!

Cask at growlers brew house. Pouts golden with a thin white head. Nice floral aroma on the nose. Itís hard to believe this is 102 IBUís because it feels very balanced on the tongue. Finishes with a nice floral note with just a hint of bitterness. Nice!

On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh) Classic hoppy beer. Not so hoppy that you run to the fridge for a carrot, but plenty for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Foggy, peach-gold, bad label. Sweet, caramelized, lightly chemical aroma. Prickly pine hops, a little mineral, a bit starchy. Long AIPA finish. Bomber. Thanks to LuckyDog.

From tap. Pours orange with hazy and nice head. Aroma was citrus with a little pine and wet malt. Taste was well balanced, crisp with a light and refreshing end.

Hazy copper pour, big frothy head. Aroma of pine needles, soft citrus especially mandarin. Very juicy, medium mouth feel, soft carb. Great, green juicy hop finish, quite bitter and enjoyable.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2014 Bottle at RBWG. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, white foam head. Lots of rich orange, light pine, mellow pale malt sweetness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous finish, some good work happening.

12pz bomber poured at RBWG. Pours with a nice lacing. Nice aroma out of the head, body is incredibly bland, nothing too special

On tap at the Vinter. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throuhhout the beer and laces. Aroma has pine hops with a toch of citrus and sweet grains. Flavor has light pine hops with a good amount of grassiness and a touch of earthy grains.

On tap at Taco Mac in Charlotte. Good copper color, a little hazy. Really clean, relatively light citrus taste settles well on the palette. Little lacing. Could drink a few of these. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Richmond 19th, last one of the night. Medium amber, decent head. Caramel aroma, some citric grapefruit hops. Flavor matched. Nice, but not the promised result from the label. Surprisingly little "oomph." But not bad.
