COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Winner of the First Olde Hickory Pro Am competition. Very limited production. Our brew master says: 71lbs of high alpha hops were used to make this limited production beer of only 13 barrels. That’s just over 20 grams of hops used for each pint! DBH was brewed with 2 row barley, Carapils and Crisp Crystal 45 malts and fermented to 7% alc/vol. DBH was hopped with 5 different West Coast hops: Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, Centennial and Cascade. Additionally, DBH was twice dry hopped with different combinations of these hops. The net result is an amazing aroma of ripe juicy fruit mixed in with a bouquet of spring flowers. DBH was brewed to a level of bitterness of 108 IBU’s, and leaves a lingering bitterness; it is, after all, a Double IPA!

Strong floral aroma. Citrus flavor that lingers on the tongue for quite some time. This beer would be perfect if it were a bit clearer.

Bottle. Malt heavy IPA. Pine and grass hopiness. A bit too malty. Not too bad.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown, May 12, 2015 bottle poured into a glas. Clear light Amber with small white head. Aroma is bitter hops, medium body, low carbonation, and pretty good lacing. Taste is big bitter and some herbal hops.

This big, bold IPA has 108 whopping IBUs, but it's balanced out so well. Big foamy white head and great retention with lacing lasting the whole glass. I really enjoyed the punch your lights out bitterness, with the malt's bedside manner.

From a bottle courtesy of Travlr. Thanks! Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Grassy nose. Flavors of alfalfa and citrus. Bitter finish.

Great ipa. This one pours a nice golden yellow red color with a nice forming head. Good crisp dry floral hop taste and great looking and tasting double ipa. Enjoy!

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing off-white head. Very juicy, citrusy aroma. Very soft on the palate with a carbonation at the low end. Body comes out a little thin - I could’ve thought this to be only 5-6%. But the malts are really not the focus here, it’s all about the hops and they are crisp, juicy and super delicious. Yet the beer is still fairly easy drinking with a not overly bitter finish. 300615

Orange hue, murky clarity with mostly diminishing fizzy white head. Okay lacing. Aromas of orange hop, Papa John’s cheesy bread (parmesan cheese) and some tropical fruit. Orange hop and lemon zest up front with more of a hoppy floral finish. Fizzy mouth feel.

Hazy orange gold. Thick off white head. Skunky funky juicy citrus hop aroma. Nice malty backbone. Jammy upfront with gradual bitterness in the mid and strongly bitter to close. Citrus aftertaste. Some grapefruit citrus flavor and a touch of apricot. Cloying mouthfeel. Pretty damn good.

Old rating. Amber colored. Resinous, grassy, and piney hops. Pretty much run of the mill hop bomb.
