COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Greek epithet for Dionysus, Eiraphiotes means "Twice-Born." This Imperial Pilsner was a stellar beer right out of the conditioning tank, but its second birth from chardonnay barrels has transformed it into a truly magnificent creation. Very Limited Production.

Dark, slightly hazy orange with little to no head. Nose is sweet, sugary, light orange, light vinous notes. Flavor is lightly bitter, light sweetness, somewhat dirty finish. Not very good.

Very rich and full bodied. Thick pour with a fizzy head. Nose is extremely vegetal. Flavor too. Lots of DMS showing up. Very bready/doughy with some wet hay. Warming finish.

Bottle. Thanks Derek. Pours glowing orange with white head. Nose has some bugs, bit buttery chard to it, vanilla and oak. Flavors of Brett, buttery, sweet caramel, some grass and minerals. Good stuff.

Sampled at the Richmond Gathering 19. Clear golden pour with ring of white head. This is surprisingly good. The chardonnay comes through, and the base is good with a tinny, grassy, honey, sweet, but not too sweet brew. Not syrupy like many other imp pils iíve had. Iím impressed, even though I wouldnít want to drink very much of it.

Spicy cumin, oak, nose, light overripe orange undercurrent. Clear amber, medium head. Rye flavor, bready with an orange accent. Balanced, spicy, wonderful. Excellent

750ml. Thanks to Derek for sharing... Pours a semi-transparent orangey copper hued elixir and topped a thin soapy white head... Grassy upfront aroma with sweet white grapes to go alongside it. Softer vanilla underneash but definitely more subtle... Flavors are smooth and easy going with earth tea-like sweet grass accents with a lightly semi-bitter finish. Some toasty caramel through the middle with some faint tart dark fruit. Just shy of medium bodied, semi-creamy mouthfeel.

Poured a dark yellow color from the bottle with aromas of hay, light honey and some grain Flavors are the same, grain and an alcohol aftertaste, and some hay.

Richmond 19th. Looked forward to trying this one since I first saw it. Gold, clear. Slightly boozy, honey, floral with citric background. Flavor matches, with a slightly woody note mixed in, rather floral. Interesting. Iím always a sucker for Chard barrel beers.

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours yellow with a thin white head. Smells a bit woody. Taste is like red wine with a dry finish and a bit of alcohol burn. The wine elements donít complement pilsner very well.
