750 mL bottle shared by PaulUnwin. Cheers, Paul! Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is wood, lemon, white wine, vinous fruit, and white grapefruit. Flavor is similar blend of wine, citrus, malt, and wood. Light in body and a nice, complex pils.

Very rich and full bodied. Thick pour with a fizzy head. Nose is extremely vegetal. Flavor too. Lots of DMS showing up. Very bready/doughy with some wet hay. Warming finish.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle, capped. $16, Brusin. Orange- golden color, yellow foam, thick head. Aroma of grapes, white oak, sweet flowers, and light peach puree. Tastes of sweet malt, honey, vanilla, bitter straw. Lingering bitterness makes me realize this is a beer, although it smells like a malted wine. Great nose! Flavor is very well balanced, nice amount of hops. It is truely worth the cash, it is a very well made barrel-aged brew. (3685)

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wow. Not what I expected at all. Pours a light and cloudy amber color with almost no head. Subtle hints of fruitiness to the nose. You can actually get the chardonnay taste in there along with some hints of fruit. Extremely easy on the palate - one of the best beers I’ve had in that respect.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark, slightly hazy orange with little to no head. Nose is sweet, sugary, light orange, light vinous notes. Flavor is lightly bitter, light sweetness, somewhat dirty finish. Not very good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at the Richmond Gathering 19. Clear golden pour with ring of white head. This is surprisingly good. The chardonnay comes through, and the base is good with a tinny, grassy, honey, sweet, but not too sweet brew. Not syrupy like many other imp pils i’ve had. I’m impressed, even though I wouldn’t want to drink very much of it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml from Sam’s, Durham. Had this on tap and in the bottle from the same joint, and my opinions changed. While I appreciate the draft version a good bit, I found the bottled version a bit less impressive. To me, the wood was just a bit too sharp, and I wasn’t getting a whole lot of the grape character. Noble hops and a decently pleasant chardonnay character make the finish a bit more enjoyable but it fell short of greatness.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours yellow with a thin white head. Smells a bit woody. Taste is like red wine with a dry finish and a bit of alcohol burn. The wine elements don’t complement pilsner very well.
