COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Greek epithet for Dionysus, Eiraphiotes means "Twice-Born." This Imperial Pilsner was a stellar beer right out of the conditioning tank, but its second birth from chardonnay barrels has transformed it into a truly magnificent creation. Very Limited Production.

Spicy cumin, oak, nose, light overripe orange undercurrent. Clear amber, medium head. Rye flavor, bready with an orange accent. Balanced, spicy, wonderful. Excellent

750ml bottle, capped. $16, Brusin. Orange- golden color, yellow foam, thick head. Aroma of grapes, white oak, sweet flowers, and light peach puree. Tastes of sweet malt, honey, vanilla, bitter straw. Lingering bitterness makes me realize this is a beer, although it smells like a malted wine. Great nose! Flavor is very well balanced, nice amount of hops. It is truely worth the cash, it is a very well made barrel-aged brew. (3685)

Enjoyed at cellar temp, any cooler and this beer loses some of its charm IMO. Big white grape skin and citrus, star fruit, honey, some grain, mineral tinged chardonnay and yeast backed by Hallertau hops with dusty oak in the nose. When its freshly opened there is a greater amount of oak tannin pushing through the hop profile, this subsides as the beer warms and the alcohol comes into play along with a high level of acidity, its brisk and cleansing as opposed to sharp and astringent. Another truly world class brew from Stephen and the gang.

Bottle courtesy of Greg at Paradiso Dipont, hauled by truck from NC. Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma of vanilla, lemon, white wine. Taste is slightly funky wood, light spice, spruce. Fascinating and creative flavor combo.

This was pretty good. Olde Hickory has really stepped up their game of late, and this is another good one from them. Lots of chardonnay and oak on the note, as well the flavor. This style, which I usually donít care for that much, seems to really take to the winey flavors from the barrel. Smooth and surprisingly light

Wow. Not what I expected at all. Pours a light and cloudy amber color with almost no head. Subtle hints of fruitiness to the nose. You can actually get the chardonnay taste in there along with some hints of fruit. Extremely easy on the palate - one of the best beers Iíve had in that respect.

Thanks to Greg at BBCK for cracking this bottle for my table!! Pours a hazy apricot with smallish frothy head. Nose and flavor are really quite nice, with good bready malt, tones of grassy and spicy hop, and really pleasant added sweetness from the chardonnay barrels. Touches of wood and light vinous grape and stonefruit come through. Nice that there is still a bit of dryness and bite with a 7.5% beer. Sweet, but still good. Really nice.

This Beer is really good, but it changed from the first pour to the last. The first pour obviously has some fruit on it, but itís quite dry on the tongue with a pleasant oaky complexity. Towards the end of the bottle itís gets a bit cloudier and sweeter, but not sweet comparatively. I prefer the end of the bottle.

Pours golden orange with a white head. Aroma of malts forward totally and some wheat notes. The flavors bring pilsner malts showcased forward with chardonnay spiciness, light sweet notes, and a fairly dry bitter ending.

Dark golden color with a small, white head that left lighter lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, vanilla, toasted oak, and some Chardonnay notes. Taste of toast, toffee malts, vanilla, citrus, wood, and a dry chardonnay finish.
