Blacker than night, stouter than stout is our Imperial Stout. Brewed with a lot of malt & a touch of honey, Imperial Stout is rich & robust with deep, deep notes of dark chocolate & espresso.

Bottle thanks to emacgee... black body, light mocha head, decent foam, lacing is weak... subdued nose, hope this opens up as it warms, light roasted coffee a bit of sweet molasses, as it warms get a bit sweeter, lots of honey... the taste makes up for the nose, roasted but smooth coffee, great mouthfeel, nice bitter chocolate with a hint of sweetness, really balanced

Wax tipped 22 ounce bottle. Pours dark and opaque with a large cocoa brown head. Enormous lacing. Aroma of milk and dark chocolate, burnt hay, and freshly ground coffee beans. Smooth and silky palate. Taste has milk chocolate and vanilla, a hint of grassy hops and just a faint note of dark roast bitterness. The honey addition blunts the bittering efforts of the other ingredients, shifting the balance toward the sweet side of the scale. No alcohol presence. Solid and enjoyable.

Bottle purchased in Winstom Salem prior to this year’s Sexual Chocolate release. Shared at a recent tasting and served in a SAVOR snifter. Pours nearly black with a short mocha head and a thin collar after the head receded. The nose carries a good amount of the honey. Really as advertised there. Behind that was a good amount of chocolate and coffee plus a bit of roast. The flavor also carried the honey along with a pretty heavy chocolate presence. Light roast backing. Moderate sweetness and a medium body with light carbonation. Really a nice brew all around. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-13-2011

Sweet chocolate and toffee nose with lots of dark fruit and some vinous notes. The taste is moderately sweet and moderately bitter, it’s very chalky with lots of ash and burnt malt, rather astringent, some smoke, lots of caramel and milk chocolate.
