Blacker than night, stouter than stout is our Imperial Stout. Brewed with a lot of malt & a touch of honey, Imperial Stout is rich & robust with deep, deep notes of dark chocolate & espresso.

Bottle thanks to TURDFERGUSON: Poured a thick oil black with a finger light brown head. Huge robust coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Thick creamy dark chocolate blast with hints of coffee bean and loads of malts. I did not get the honey in this, but its definitely a big beer.

Draft. The sweetness of the honey comes through. Black with nice lacing. Rich coffee. Some bitterness but not overwhelming. Nice but not my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

odd label, will bruin style if you will .. . pours a deep black brown .. . medium foam, lacing is light .. . burnt caramel, tar, and sweet tar .. . pretty enjoyable, but would have liked this years and not last’s .. . . I think I’ve seen a tube of that in my grandmother’s medicine cabinet.

Last of the 2012 purchased at Brawley’s in Charlotte NC. Pours rich deep black brown. Head is a rich milk chocolate froth of small bubbles that quickly disappears. Nose is restrained rich deep chocolate notes. Taste is sweet dark chocolate bitters with just a hint of honey sweetness. The rich dark chocolate flavor broadens on the finish. A staggeringly good beer.

2011 Bottle thanks to Brett: This one was impressive with sweet (but not too much) flavors of chocolate and honey. Yummy! Went down very nice, a tad ’thin’ yet very well done. I’d like more of this easy drinking ale..

Pint at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet, roasty. chocolate. Dark blackish brown color, good head, spotty lace. Bittersweet flavor.heavy body, thick creamy mouthfeel, Bittersweet finish. Solid impy. Aroma was rich, narrowly so, very chocolate coffee. Flavor my favorite part. Big rich chocolaty flavor.

Aroma is malt forward - dark fruit and achocol. Pours a deep black with a slight tan head. Taste is bitter with achocol finish. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable Imperial Stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The beer appears a near black shade with a thin tan head that generates some random spots of lacing. The aroma brings the typical roast character along with honey and chocolate. The beer is roasty and sweet, with honey flavor present throughout. Nicely done, as the honey is well integrated into the overall flavor profile. Hints of oak and vanilla are in there as well. The feel is full bodied, with moderately low carbonation. Overall, an interesting and enjoyable brew. I would have this again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-05-2011
