Blacker than night, stouter than stout is our Imperial Stout. Brewed with a lot of malt & a touch of honey, Imperial Stout is rich & robust with deep, deep notes of dark chocolate & espresso.

Bottle thanks to TURDFERGUSON: Poured a thick oil black with a finger light brown head. Huge robust coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Thick creamy dark chocolate blast with hints of coffee bean and loads of malts. I did not get the honey in this, but its definitely a big beer.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, some lacing. Aroma is quite roasty, cocoa, ashtray, molasses, coffee, hints of smoke. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, roasty and molasses soaked coffee beans. Medium body, soft but a little thin for style.

22 (I think). Canít remember who brought this one (N?), but thank you. Pours an opaque dark ebony with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Big coffee and dark chocolate nose. Creamy thick body with moderate carb. Roasty coffee and dark chocolate mid palate, nice bitter counterpoint to the sweetness of the malts. Long roasty finish.

2013 bottle. It pours a thick, jet black color with a thin brown head. The aroma is rich and complex with notes of fudge, molasses and honey up front. Nice dense roasted, smoky malts underneath with hints of almonds and sherry that seem like mild oxidation, but it suits this beer well. The flavor is rich with dense, woody roasted malt. Sweet with honey and molasses, but the intense smoke and roast balance it out a bit. Thereís some hints of floral/menthol bitterness in the finish along with more intense roast. The body is insanely thick and goes down slow. This is a sipper for sure, and feels much bigger than 10% although the alcohol isnít that noticeable, just the flavors and mouthfeel are extremely intense. Some burnt malt in the aftertaste is the only mild turn off. Otherwise, a really intense, complex treat.

Bomber: Chouffe glass: Small brown head/lacing. Black beer. Aroma of honey, chocolate, dark roast, coal, some liquorice, tar and raisin... Flavour is a great mix of honey, roast, chocolate, liquorice, good bitter, hops, coffee, some toffee, light fudge and a hint of molasses... Aftertaste is roasty, bitter, hoppy, molasses/honey, chocolate... Low carbo, close to silky mouthfeel, close to full bodied.

Bottle courtesy of Mike, shared with Paul and Dallas. Porus a deep blackish brown body with thin tan lacing. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of rich woody, earthy roast, bitter dark chocolate, dirt, oak and sweet honey. A bit reminiscient of Bellís Expedition.

Black pour with a thin espresso head that fades quick. Aroma is pretty light with hints of honey. Medium mouth. Taste is full of chocolate and a little honey comb. Roast is prevalent. Bitter finish. Some toffee notes creep in as it warms.

Bottle. Vintage, been in the cellar for a while. Pouts a dark inky brown with very minimal head. Low carbonation. Molasses and dark roast in the nose. Heavy mouthfeel, a bit oily. Sweet molasses upfront that then transitions to dark chocolate, roast, and a touch of leather. A bit sweet but pretty tasty.

It pours black with a deep brown head. It has roasted smells with chocolate and coffee aromas. It has a very rich feel and flavor with sweet flavors of chocolate and roasted flavors. There is a bit touch of honey to it. It ends off with a sweet bitter finish.
